First of all I am a Las Vegas local and have lived here over 30 years and the reason I stayed at the Westgate is because my mother wanted to spend a couple of nights on the strip. The Westgate is the old Hilton so it has been around many many years and you can see it in some of the room fixtures. Worn out paint, quirky low toilets. However don't let that fool you, the service from the Valet to the front desk was fabulous, all employees used my name when they could and they were very hospitable. The rooms are old, but VERY clean, the bedding was super comfortable and the mattress was entirely fine, the pillows were fantastic. The AC was kind of struggling to get to 70 degrees but once it was there it was quiet and cool. The water pressure in the showers was amazing and almost pinned me to the wall, also the temperature was super hot. Negatives were no coffee machines in the room, which meant a 30 mins wait in the coffee shop downstairs. The furniture could do with an upgrade or touch up, but the draws were clean and dust free. Overall for being an off strip property i would recommend staying here if u want no frills accommodation that is clean.

Great resort with just the right mix of fine dining, casino play and sleep stay. Being centrally located on the loop was perfect as well. If you haven't been driven underground in the loop for conventions and the like do so. Benihana, Edge Steakhouse and Fresco's Italian restaurant were great! The casino tables were good. The slots need some work as you need to look around for service tech's when your machine locks up. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone attending a convention at LVCC. Fun spot for Elvis fans as well!!!! TY Westgate

We recently stayed at Westgate Las Vegas to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and we were thoroughly impressed with the experience. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with stunning views of both the Las Vegas Strip and the hotel’s pool (see photos). The pool and HUGE 15-person hot tub became daily favorites for us - relaxing and well-kept, they were the perfect way to start our days. The staff throughout the hotel were warm and welcoming, and the restaurants on-site offered delicious options. Another huge plus was the convenience of the monorail station located right at the hotel, which made getting to and from the strip incredibly easy. One of the highlights of our visit was attending the Barry Manilow show at the Westgate. The performance was fantastic - world-class production, excellent sound, and an intimate atmosphere that made it feel personal (photo included). We also loved taking in the history of the Westgate itself. The property has a rich connection to Las Vegas entertainment - including being home to Elvis Presley during his legendary Las Vegas residency. The Elvis statue in the lobby was a fun reminder of that history, and we enjoyed snapping photos there. Overall, Westgate exceeded our expectations. Between the great accommodations, convenient location, warm service, and unforgettable entertainment, we’ve already decided that Westgate will be our hotel of choice for all future trips to Las Vegas. Highly recommended!

I made my reservation 2 months prior, 1 room 2 beds and one room king size bed. I arrived my king size was changed to a double bed with no strip view! I paid extra for strip view and was not compensated for that. One room shower would not drain and black stuff was coming up from it. Other room the tv didn’t work. Called it in they sent a tech in he couldn’t fix it. They brought another one in. All he could do was set tv to watch live tv only. Following day tv don’t work again, called it in 3 times 1hour and half later still no one has come onto fix it. Watching a blank screen and movie on my phone is not ok! I’m here til Monday and it very happy!!

We booked a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed specifically because we have two older teens who wanted their own space. We confirmed this the front desk upon arrival, but when we got to the room it had one king bed and a sofa. While my wife tried to contact phone the hotel from the room, I went back to reception to see if we could change to what we had booked. We were told that we had been 'upgraded' (not really the case), and that an alternative room was not available. We specifically chose this hotel for the three bed option, so we were very disappointed to be told that my daughter would have to sleep on the floor until another room was free the next day. A mattress was requested but did not arrive until we chased it up three hours later. We assumed that the hotel would take care of the room move offered for the next day, as is the case with other establishments, but the hotel told us we would have to return between 1 and 3pm to switch. This was really inappropriate considering we wanted to have a full day out the next day. To compound our disappointment, the duty manager at the front desk complained loudly that "we were making his life difficult". He even asked us if we had heard what he said...we believe he wanted us to hear. So, not only had we not got the room we had reserved well in advance, but we were being blamed for being awkward. The hotel staff were (apart from that guy) excellent, especially at Sid's restaurant, where the breakfasts were also wonderful. However, the rooms themselves are showing signs of age, and ours had not been properly cleaned (dirty mirror, hairs in the shower and bathroom floor etc.) and no daily housekeeping was provided. in the first room the safe was broken, the sofa bed did not lie flat (friendly maintenance guy said "this happens to old beds") but at a jaunty angle, the toilet roll hold came off the wall and there weren't enough towels. The bottom line is that we would not even consider the Westgate again.
