We recently stayed at Sunscape, and I can’t say enough good things about the overall experience — the service was excellent, the food was great, everything was clean, and both the pool and beach areas were beautiful. That said, we did have one issue that was a bit disappointing. When we arrived, the room we were given looked nothing like the one I had booked online. It was still a nice room, but it had very low ceilings and several stairs that we had to be careful with. We went to the front desk, and they gave us two options: wait until 3 p.m. for the room type we had originally reserved, or pay extra for an upgrade. We chose to wait for the correct room rather than spend more money. Unfortunately, when we finally got the new room, it ended up being right next to the elevators — something I wish we had been told in advance. The noise made it hard to get a full night’s sleep, and we were woken up multiple times throughout our stay. Since it was only a short three-day trip, we decided not to switch rooms again, as it would have been inconvenient. Overall, it was a nice stay and we really enjoyed the resort, but it would have been much better if we had been able to rest comfortably through the night.

Great resort for a short 6 day stay. after reading various reviews, I can say the resort was a great value for the price . The service was excellent in all the restaurants. The staff was very attentive and paid close attention to my families dietary needs and coordinated with the kitchen provide food options. A very big thanks to them . As for me the food was flavorful. The negative food reviews I attribute to our high salt, sugar laced foods in the USA. I just added salt and pepper as needed. The desserts were top notch, not high sugar ladeen, the actual flavors came through just right. We did have a AC water leak and a refrigerator fail in the room and let me tell you the response from the staff was quick and efficient. Drinks well ask for a double if you want it stronger. The room service staff was wonderful and the last turnover service was a special surprise. All the staff was solid on guest service smiling and greeting is as we passed often asking if all was ok and if we needed anything. Kids and adult pools were great but I preferred the sandy beach, we also took advantage of free the water craft options off site at Aqua world. Nightly entertainment at the bar varied nightly and they definitely did a great job . A special treat for the kids was a surprise while watching the moon on the beach the turtles emerged from the sand after hatching. The time share associates were very subdued not as aggressive as I have encountered on other resorts all we did was ignore them, plenty of practice. The family had a great time and the sunscape is on our list for a future trip.

We loved this resort. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. The location is great and the beach is amazing. The restaurants and bars onsite were very nice with a variety of options to include Italian, Asian, Mexican....it is in Mexico and a Buffet style featuring damn near everything. The price was surprisingly reasonable and i would certainly recommend this hotel. The only thing we didn't really care for was the constant attempts to get us to attend an hour an half presentation on how to become a VIP member or something along those lines. I understand that Hyatt just purchased the property and they are trying to promote the place. I also understand the people pushing it were just doing their jobs but it was a tad annoying. just email me about the VIP program. I will say as incentive to attend, they did offer you free massages and vouchers etc. We were just not interested but they wouldn't give up. I'm not faulting them for it...still a 5 star resort in my opinion.

We went as a family of 5. We had a great stay! It was busy but the staff was great at moving us through quickly! Entertainment: I wish there was an easier way to access the daily entertainment schedule. But, the entertainment was great + our littles loved it! Room: great, clean. The hotel store is very expensive, but if you can - hop or walk to the outdoor mall and stock up there! Beach: clean + enjoyable. Very strict no smoking policy Safety: we felt safe, but we did notice towards the end of our stay that there was a high police presence (that may have been due to spring break we went march) it was a bit unnerving but manageable. We found a few hecklers on the beach and in the hotel for time shares; but easily avoided. Overall we felt safe, our kids loved kids club! And came home with crafts they made, food was best we've had in Mexico, entertainment was good, and we enjoyed that the kids pools and adults pool were on opposite sides of the main lobby.

Overall, our stay was pleasant, though there were a few areas that could be improved. The resort is lively and family-oriented, which means it can get quite busy and energetic at times. Our room was comfortable, but the air conditioning was a bit noisy. Also, the constant timeshare sales pitches were tiring — it felt like they were always trying to sell something instead of letting guests enjoy their stay. On the positive side, the food options were enjoyable and the staff were consistently kind, professional, and attentive. It’s a good choice for families or those looking for an active atmosphere, but guests seeking a quieter, more relaxing experience may want to consider other options.
