The resort was beautiful. Can't complain about the vibe of the place. The staff were very accommodating. I couldn't be happier with the staff. However, if you book as preferred, expect to be hounded to sign up for a 2hr timeshare presentation. We unfortunately fell for it and the "no pressure" presentation took 20+ "nos" from us and we had to talk to 5 different people to finally have our "no" accepted. My family wasn't impressed with the food either. We were hoping for some authentic Mexican food, but the best food we had was off resort. Also, bring cash because it feels like tipping is expected.

I can not recommend this resort to anyone. Here’s an overview of why: Overall Resort: I found the resort to be outdated and in need of upgrades. Particularly, the lounge chairs by the pool were rusted or molded. In addition, it is not really all inclusive. You have to “upgrade” to preferred to have access to basic things that should be included in a 5 star. That comes with no wrist bands or anything to denote “preferred”. I also noticed raccoons running around the resort and bothering guests. Spa: The spa did not have any fans to dry my manicure and pedicure. So, it resulted in me having half dried nails and feet and smudges everywhere. Service: I found the service to be lackluster. There was no one around to help. The property is quite spread out and very few golf carts available to help transport you. I ordered room service and asked for ice three separate times and no one ever came. I also asked for food from room service one night and they never showed up. The second night they showed up 3 hours later. When it was time to leave, we had to drag our bags across the wet ground to make it back to the lobby from the back of the resort. Food: The food options were scarce and the buffet was small. They asked about allergies but do little to accommodate them. I’m allergic to shellfish and one night, there was no chicken or even steak option available in terms of protein. On the occasions were chicken and steak were available, I ordered from the grill. Things were going ok until the cook dropped my tortilla behind the dirty appliances and picked it up and placed it on my plate. She also took utensils and banged them across the garbage and never cleaned them. Drinks: I’ve witnessed a bar tender pour water into my drink on one occasion causing it to taste watered down. On separate occasions across various bars, several people in our group complained of watery drinks. The cups and shot glasses were very dingy and stained and needed to be replaced.

Entertainment staff were all amazing. Portofino Italian restaurant food was 10/10 the chef my goodness wow so good!!! our server Giovanni was the best!!! Rooms were a great size and very clean. Resort was beautiful , great layout but the roofs NEED TO be updated ASAP! to many leaks creating unsafe areas… Cheers to the concierge staff Willie, Andres, Joshua were so attentive to making Sure I got daily ice for my fractured foot and I had a shuttle ride daily. Thank you. 🙏🏼 Over all a great 10 day honeymoon Thank you to everyone

Extremely disappointing stay, this is NOT a 5 star resort. The rooms are run down and busted up, we spent extra for a jacuzzi upgrade which was broken so we had to change rooms. Other items were broken in the new room - the bedside table was hanging off the wall so badly we had to tape the drawer shut so it didn't keep sliding open unexpectedly in the middle of the night. Mirrors were disgusting, the ocean front water is murky and brown, you will not want to swim there. Restaurants all had very substandard food, the buffet was kinda passable but well below expectations. Cocktails all had a wierd gross aftertaste, like they were made with diet mixers/juices. The resort is so far from anywhere so you are basically stranded there. The only positive was that the hospitality and maintenance staff were nice and friendly. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Beautiful resort with amazing staff and food. The rooms were spacious and clean, food and drinks were abundant and delicious, 5 restsurants plus the buffet, coffee shop and a sorbet parlor! The pool was large, clean and a great temperature. Definitely recommend getting the priveledge package, it includes access to a private bar with great ambiance and snacks, as well as breakfast a la carte at the blue water grill.
