This review is long overdue... Overall we had a fantastic stay here at Dreams. The all-inclusive options were excellent, with good variety of food. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable providing a great base for our vacation. We were upgraded to ocean front suite gratefully appreciated. The staff were very friendly and attentive. On the downside we experienced some issues with loud music and weddings every night. Despite this we had a relaxing Getaway this is a good option.

The resort lobby was gorgeous. We were offered champagne while we waited to get checked in. Our room was spacious, clean, and air conditioned. The staff brought our luggage up to our rooms. Our room cleaner did a wonderful job throughout our stay. There are lots of food options to choose from. Just keep in mind that some of the restaurants have dress codes (casual/ formal). We personally loved the 24 hr Coco cafe. The salmon bagel was my favorite snack from there. They also had a variety or pastries to choose from! The pools were clean and spacious. We mostly swam in the adult only infinity pool with a swim up bar, but the kids on the resort looked like they were having a blast on the water slides. There's an events schedule each day for different activities around the resort. We personally loved the Spanish lessons taught by Hector, archery, and beach volleyball. I loved how when we had an odd number of people playing beach volleyball, the resort staff filled in the spot to make the teams even. The entertainment team did a wonderful job!

Excellent resort! The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you! The cafe is a hidden gem (best coffee in the resort) the entertainment staff are always so lovely and fun and have a huge amount of things to do for all ages. It's a shame the main pool is warm like bathwater, but the adults only infinity pool is nice and refreshing. Lots of restaurants on site - word of warning if there's a wedding or event on the restaurants are short staffed so there will be a bit of a wait to get in, otherwise the buffet restaurant is air conditioned and generally quick to get into. The food was fantastic and our room cleaner /maid Adriana was so lovely and helpful. Holiday of a lifetime would recommend a stay here!

Hurt myself the first day and had to leave early. They refuse to refund me. The place was so noisy we didn’t sleep much on top of the hard mattresses in 2 different rooms. The staff was nice but i was disappointed that when we checked out two days early, they asked me to write an incident report for my injury when i had reported it to 3 managers and other staff within 3 hours of it happening. They didn’t have ice packs to supply for my injury. Cocoa Café was great and the buffet was good room service not that great. I would definitely not come back here. i’m not sure how people bring their children here with his noisy as it is up until 2 AM almost nightly beware walking in the halls that is where I slipped and injured my knee because the lights were not on in the hallway and it was almost dark at that point.They did upgrade us due to the noise, but the bed was so hard couldn’t sleep on top of being in pain. We had no choice but to go home. Visitors do not have wristbands or anything identifying them as a guest there. Nobody had wristband sewing whether they were 18 or over. I did not feel safe there.

My cousin and I traveled to Cancun for the first time and chose to stay at Cancun Dreams Riviera Resort. It was a very beautiful and clean resort. We were greeted very warmly. After check-in, we had a rather unpleasant conversation with the members sales representative that kept pushing to sell a higher level membership. We were tired and hungry and wanted to go to our room, but they wouldn't let us go until we firmly stated that now was not the time to talk about it. We really liked our room, it was large and clean with a balcony. The beds, shower, bathroom, and all the amenities were perfect. I didn't really like the jacuzzi on the balcony, the water didn’t stay and drained. When it rained, there was water everywhere on the balcony floor because there is no roof over the balcony on the fifth floor. Another drawback is that there are only two elevators in the building, and it was a long walk to the room. The housekeeping was great, they cleaned and and refreshed our room with a lavender scent, and were very polite. Everyone around the pool and on the beach was very polite, always offering drinks. We liked all the restaurants and the buffet, the food was delicious. I didn't like that there were a lot of mosquitoes, birds, and animals in the evenings at the outdoor restaurants Seaside Grill and Oceana. The waiters everywhere were very polite. At the Italian restaurant Portofino we were served by waiter Reyes, he was very polite and courteous, a solid 10 stars. At the Mexican restaurant El Patio, we also had a very cheerful, pleasant waiter named Vicente, also 10 stars. At the French restaurant Bordeaux, the waiter was also very patient and polite. The internet was bad for a few days, and a concierge named Zazu Gabriel helped us at the Front Desk. We really liked the Coco Cafe, especially the girl with the nickname Sochi was very sweet. The shows were interesting. We were offered a tour to another resort for a membership sales pitch, but we declined because they explained that we needed to provide a credit card, for which they would give us $350 or $400 in resort credit, and we couldn't use it all at once. Massages and other spa treatments are very expensive. We had $250 total in resort credit when we booked, but we couldn't use it all at once, only small portions towards certain categories and pay the difference. The ocean water was warm but very dirty, with a lot of seaweed, although the shore was cleaned. We don't recommend going in September; October or November through March are better. It rained heavily before our departure on October 6th and 7th. There were also a lot of weddings on the weekends. Overall, it's a beautiful, clean, and comfortable resort. You won't regret if you go. Thanks to everyone!
