Hotel Alameda — Deeply Disappointed by Unprofessional Treatment My recent stay at Hotel Alameda was extremely disappointing. There were multiple unexplained high dollar charges on my card that were never properly explained, and when I tried to get clarification, some of the staff were unprofessional and downright rude. To make matters worse, we were locked out of our room with all of our belongings still inside. The situation was handled very poorly and instead of offering assistance or an apology, we were met with dismissive attitude and a complete lack of concern for our situation. Which only added to the stress. This kind of treatment is unacceptable for any guest. It’s now been a week since I contacted the hotel about these issues, and I still haven’t received any response. The silence from management speaks volumes about how little they value their guests’ experiences or concerns. While the staff who initially checked me in were courteous and professional, the rest of my stay was filled with stress, confusion, and poor communication, leaving me feeling disrespected and ignored. I would strongly caution future guests to confirm all charges in advance and be prepared for inconsistent service. I truly hope Hotel Alameda’s management takes this feedback seriously and makes meaningful improvements.

Great location about a block from Chelsea Pier. Was listed as a Priceline 4.5 star special. It's a cute boutique hotel but not 4 star. No valet or parking. Front desk helped with early check-in. Room was TINY, too small for the queen bed. Challenging to walk around the bed without flopping into it. Bed itself is lower than normal (reminded me of a college futon) but was comfortable. Cold concrete floors throughout. Walls very poor, could hear EVERY word, sound and cough from our neighbors, doors opening & closing on multiple floors, music from bar 3 floors above, and car horns beeping every 30 seconds or less through the night. Also reminded me of college. Rooftop bar was fun but couldn't serve coffee or the "signature" hot cider. Charged for an old faded blood stain on a bath towel. Front desk removed the charge as a courtesy. Never before have I ever felt like I should have documented the condition of linens. Not the way to get return visitors.

This is two bars masquerading as a hotel. I stayed here for three nights and was severely disappointed. There is no security that I could see and the elevators are open to everyone. I assume so they can get traffic to their roof top bar. The bed is on the floor, as someone with back issues this was very uncomfortable. In the bathroom, there is almost no counter top space and the flush panel for the toilet kept falling off. My refrigerator was on the fritz and it was never addressed after mentioning it to the front desk. I had mysterious bites on my leg after the second night. When I checked out, I attempted to provide some feedback and started with the bed being on the floor. The front desk person immediately got defensive and tried to argue with me about the bed being comfortable regardless, which I felt wasn't worth the effort. I'll just not stay there again. The cherry on top, I get home and there are facility fees on the card they told me was only for incidentals. I called to inquire about this but there was no manager on duty and I have to call back. The person at the front desk read off other guest's full names in an attempt to find mine, instead of just asking me my name. All around unprofessional business. My biggest question now is, was there a manager there when I was staying? What if something had happened due to the lack of security?

Great hotel in a fantastic location right on the High Line and Hudson Yards. Perfect for our work trip. Comfortable beds and tea / coffee machine in the room was a bonus. Martin, Ozge, Veronica, Tania, and Maritza made my stay feel like home. Loved the place and loved the kind people taking care of us there. Gracias, Hotel Alameda. Hasta la Próxima!

I didn’t care much about the reviews because I understand the concept of a boutique hotel, so you can’t expect the same as a regular hotel. It could be better, though. Since it’s small, there shouldn’t be big decorations like one that was on the tiny desk, or the low lamp right above the side of the bed (obstacle when when you wanna get up). The coffee machine was way too complicated. A cheap small keurig would have been better. The fridge didn’t feel cold enough. I was super hungry and in a hurry because I was in a business trip, so I bought two of their very expensive and tiny parfaits from their bar. To my surprise, what should have been granola was actually italian bread crumbs. It was disgusting, but I couldn’t be late to my meetings, so I just ate it. My partner was able to remove part of the breadcrumbs and ate it too. When checking out, I informed that to the front desk and all I got was a giggle followed by a “I’ll inform the kitchen”. I’d expect that a hotel that is not that cheap would at least refund me for it, but I wasn’t gonna beg, and since they don’t care that much, here is my review.
