The OBLU SELECT Sangeli Serenity Plan includes the following:

  • Breakfast (7am to 10am), lunch (12.30pm to 2.30pm) and dinner (7pm to 10pm) served at The Courtyard
  • A la carte fine-dining lunch (12.30pm to 2.30pm) or dinner (7pm to 10.30pm) at either JustWok or Just Grill - one visit per one to three-night stay, two visits per four to seven-night stay, three visits per eight to 11-night stay and four visits per 12-night stay and above (booking required - children under 16 can only dine at Just Grill or JustWok during dinner)
  • Traditional Maldivian snacks at the Hedhikaa Hut (4pm to 6pm)
  • Wide selection of spirits, wines and beer, as well as unlimited signature cocktails and mocktails from a menu of 16 cocktails and 10 mocktails at The Sangs (9am to 1am)
  • Unlimited orders from a menu featuring one cocktail of the day, one mocktail of the day, wines beers and soft drinks at The Rock (5pm to 7pm)

We recently returned from an incredible family holiday at Oblu Sangeli, and I can honestly say it exceeded all expectations. We travelled as a group of six adults and five children aged between 3 and 6, and this resort is truly perfect for families with young kids. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. A special mention to Zaki and the whole team at the Kids Club — they made both our holiday and our children’s holiday truly special. The care, attention, and enthusiasm they showed were second to none, allowing us adults to relax and enjoy some downtime knowing our kids were in the best hands. Zaki in particular was incredible — his energy, musical talent, and genuine excitement brought so much joy to our children’s days. They were genuinely sad to leave him and the Kids Club team behind! Another big thank you goes to Chef Vijay Rana and his amazing team. The food was outstanding, and they were always happy to accommodate our specific requests. Every meal was a delicious experience, from the buffet to the à la carte options. The resort itself is beautiful — crystal-clear waters, stunning villas, and a relaxed atmosphere — but it’s truly the staff who make it magical. We left with full hearts, big smiles, and memories that will last a lifetime.

This was my second time staying at OBLU Select Sangeli, and I loved it just as much — if not more! The food at Just Wok was absolutely delicious, and the chef deserves special praise for his incredible flavors. The staff members driving the buggies were always so kind, polite, and attentive. Every restaurant team greeted us with warm smiles and friendly conversation, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The massage was unbelievably relaxing, and Just Grill offered such a stylish atmosphere with exceptional dishes. The snorkeling activities were breathtaking — even though it was my second visit, I felt the same excitement doing all the activities again. Coming from Turkey, a country surrounded by beautiful seas, I was still amazed by the unique atmosphere here. The island is spotless, the water crystal clear, and the whole place feels like paradise. I truly believe everyone should visit the Maldives at least once in their lifetime, and OBLU Select Sangeli should definitely be one of those choices! 🌴✨

First of all, thanks to Frank, the hotel manager, for helping us when we had some issues before. But I want to share my honest opinion about the hotel itself. The hotel didn’t meet our expectations. The staff were polite and helpful, but the place was boring and not suitable for young couples. At night, there was only a singer or a DJ — nothing else to do. The food was bad, full of heavy Indian spices. Apart from pizza and burgers, nothing tasted good. The massage was poor, minibar drinks were always warm, and the free fishing activity was awful. The boat that took us to the airport smelled terrible, and the boys working there were wild — no communication at all. Many staff looked fake. Overall, I didn’t enjoy the island and wouldn’t recommend it to Turkish visitors.

We just arrived back home so this is fresh off the press. Short review ; if you can, do it. Picture perfect, awesome staff and great food and bev packages. The house reefs are really good and the water sport options are basically everything. Longer review ; we landed in Male late but were greeted at the airport and had a great skipper take us to the island / atoll in the dark at hyper speed in a large, fast modern boat. Check in was thorough but it was late so we didn’t get a full run down. The next morning we woke up in our room out over the water and instantly felt relaxed. We became more relaxed in the capable hands on Firey the barman who along with his mates, made sure we were always topped up with water or a drink to keep us ticking. In between there was some swimming, snorkeling under and around our room, or anywhere around the amazing atoll/island. The pool party was fun with a few organised games and we were blessed to have DJ Lenka/Elena who made a couple of oldies forget their age, and, along with the delightful Chris on a steel, bongo and drums gave our holiday an epic soundtrack. The sand is pure, the waters clean, and away from the rooms they are teeming with every variety of fish you could imagine. We saw every fish on the ID charts at the rock bar on our daily walk around the island from nemo to reef shark. Just perfect. The spa was a great inclusion too and relaxed and restored us, highly recommend the additional time and expense for some deep relaxation. The rocks bar for a sunset drink sounds so cliche, and it totally is, and it is totally stunning on the right evening with a cocktail in hand on the deck on a beanbag with a cooling breeze. I miss it already. Then there is the food. We are vegan, and while everyone offered to cook us additional foods, the standard variety at the courtyard was amazing and sous chef Sanjay was so attentive to us and everyone it made every standard meal a highlight. The pasta and pizza dude Tore was incredible. The speed and care, remembering people’s preferences, tailoring to your taste .. amazing. Then Just Wok and Just Grill, got to say with our diet I was worried about just grill, but they were amazing and I enjoyed the best grilled eggplant and tahini I’ve ever tasted. Just wok was always going to be an easier choice for us, and they did not disappoint with dishes and options across the menu. The Asian green soup and chilli silken tofu are etched into my taste memory. Are you still reading ? Sorry. I’m not post holiday glow, we just genuinely needed a break and to reset, and all the front of house teams, and back of house teams at OBLU select Sangeli deserve praise and delivered more than we expected every single day, thanks to the music and bars every single night, and all the way through to the beautiful housekeeping teams, every single sleep was serene. Thanks. ❤️

Such a memorable experience. With such lovely staff all around. Ate Ki made us feel at home, the ladies at the buffet Martini and the other lady’s name who I don’t remember :( were always so kind and welcoming! I would be able to recount something kind for every staff member! And the activities were expansive and thrilling, and just beautiful views all around
