I want to give this hotel higher reviews. But, a few glaring problems prevent me from doing so. Here's the honest truth: The Pros: 1. The refurbishment of the hotel is beautiful. I loved the rooms--they are ample sized and the views are simply spectacular, facing the ocean. The bedding, sheets and pillows were super nice. 2. Free bedding and bowls for my dog. Plus, treats. Super sweet. 3. Housekeeping never missed a beat. They carry such a heavy burden--and given that it was the end of season, I was impressed that the room was always spotless. 4. The outdoor area was wonderful. You can access trails immediately. Plus, there's hammocks and areas to rest. 5. The pool area is really nice. The Cons: 1. For a hotel that prides itself on sustainability, I received miniature plastic bottles of water all day. I'm confident there are 1000s of PLASTIC bottles in the trash day-after-day. A shame for an island with a delicate infrastructure and no clean tap water to drink. 2. I upgraded my room to THE LEVEL, which included copious amounts of food. But, as a gourmet cook with attention to ingredients, I was a bit appalled by the poor quality. Sure, it was plentiful--but with tons of inflammatory foods (dairy, wheat, cheese, sugar, alcohol, etc.) and very little consideration for people with alternative diets (vegan, vegetarian, low inflammation.) 3. The front house staff was uniformly young and inexperienced in the art of hospitality...and it showed. It took forever to check-in, answers to simple requests were almost always wrong, and a general apathy was prevalent. I know the hospitality industry is overburdened, but it feels like the customer is the last thing on the list. The new tenor is: "Give us the money and we'll give you a bed. If you don't like it, someone behind you will. NEXT!" Now, that's just a diminishment of the 4 and 5-star hotel STANDARD. So, for the price I paid, I truly expected better.

Location is great. Service in all restaurants is extremely slow, breakfast is no good and most of all a significant amount of plates and cups were dirty, what a great way to start the day. Food is very average in general. No parking was available as they reserved it for a special event, sending me to park in a municipal spot. Wouldn’t have rented if I had known. Had to walk all the way over to the sister hotel to check out, last thing you need when heading to the airport on a schedule. Room is basic but OK. Paper thin walls, but since even the bars close pretty early it wasn’t a big problem. Cleanliness was average, didn’t feel like anyone vacuums the place, empty bottles etc were forgotten on tables, etc.

Bring shower shoes. First, you can’t beat the location. Looking out over the water, just a few meters away, as you’re eating breakfast, is simply amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff; they were wonderful at answering questions and supplying recommendations. Walkability is great. You’re ten minutes away from restaurants and an even shorter trip away from groceries. The property itself is gorgeous. The gym is spacious and well equipped. However, I’m really surprised at the state of the shower in the room. Not only had the grout severely mildewed, but there was black-looking mold growing in the corner. To their credit, when I mentioned it to reception, they sent maintenance staff down as soon as they arrived in the morning. They re-caulked around the shower. At the price point of this hotel, I feel that it’s something that should have been addressed long before a guest notices black mold. I’m thankful for the quick fix, but I still can’t say that I enjoyed using the shower.

Unacceptable customer service during heavy rains I had a confirmed booking at Meliá Ibiza, but a tropical storm hit the island — flights were canceled, the city was flooded, and reaching Ibiza was literally impossible. Despite sending documentation from the airline and news reports about the storm, the hotel refused to refund or even offer a credit. It’s extremely disappointing that a so-called 4-star hotel would prioritize profit over basic fairness and safety during a natural disaster. I expected empathy and flexibility, not rigid policies that punish guests for events completely outside their control. If you value integrity and good customer service, look elsewhere.

We chose this hotel as it’s on the red cliffs of Santa Eulalia. We had walked past it last year and thought it was beautiful, and honestly it is. To wake up and walk straight out on the cliffs is amazing, grounding and peaceful. That said, we chose the level upgrade with a sea view. Rooms are great and have everything however the room service and cleanliness is enough for me not to come back. Room service basically means doing the bed and changing the towels, but they leave old coffee cups and bottles of water. Literally don’t even touch or clean around them. It’s actually amazing and shocking. This level of cleanliness matches the services of the rest of the staff and to be honest the general service of the island. Seems to be getting more aggressive and impatient every year. Also with the Level upgrade, you’d expect valet or free parking, but they charge you €40 euros extra per day for parking unless yo self park if you’re lucky to find it on the road. For the limited number of Level rooms I’d expect parking and service overall.
