Our experience at Ladera was amazing! They have the friendliest staff and go above and beyond for their guests. The property and rooms have breathtaking views. Definitely a very different experience from what we are used to. The rooms are hot but the property provided fans which made for good sleeping conditions. They cleaned our rooms multiple times a day and left surprise chocolates on our bed every night. Very luxury experience and would recommend again!

The Paradise Ridge Room is such a beautiful and comfortable set up and having a pool in the room makes it so hard to leave as we wake up to paradise everyday. Ladera offers a lot of accessibility in travel to our extensions and is 100% accommodating to our needs. We highly recommend this resort & we can’t believe the views we have. The newly addition spa as well is worth every penny.

Ladera Resort is truly as beautiful as they come — a breathtaking paradise with an incredible team that makes every moment feel special! My husband and I celebrated both our honeymoon and birthdays here, and it exceeded every expectation. We did tons of research before booking, and we’re so glad we chose Ladera and the Soufrière area. This part of St. Lucia is stunning, authentic, and less touristy than other regions — everything you’d want for a romantic and relaxing getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the “pinch-me” views, luxurious amenities, and exceptional service. Every staff member we met was warm, genuine, and attentive. Even the General Manager and his wife were present and friendly — something you don’t often see at luxury resorts! We’d love to share a few special shout-outs to the amazing team members who made our stay unforgettable: Rosemarie (Housekeeping): Her energy and kindness brightened our mornings — we looked forward to seeing her every day! Hilarius (Hideaway Rum Bar): Our rum-making class was one of the highlights of our stay, thanks to his knowledge and great sense of humor. Sherin (Reception): She went above and beyond for us, especially after an unexpected excursion mishap. Her patience and professionalism were unmatched. Boniface (Woodworker & Artist): A must-meet! His stories, craftsmanship, and positive spirit added so much to our experience. Chef Nigel: A true talent! We loved chatting with him during dinners — he takes time to connect with guests and ensure everyone’s experience is top-notch. Jermie (Bar & Dasheen Restaurant): Friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. Hans (Butler): So lovely and attentive! Neilbert: Always engaging and full of joy — we looked forward to seeing his smile every day. Every team member we encountered went above and beyond, and we can’t say enough good things about the Ladera staff. Tips for future travelers: Bring mosquito repellent (Deep Woods OFF worked great for us) — you’re surrounded by lush jungle, so it’s part of the experience! Embrace nature — you’ll see lizards, hear the rainforest, and feel open-air living at its finest. Some guests split their stay between Ladera (for the views) and another resort with A/C and enclosed walls for contrast. Always book excursions and travel through trusted guides recommended by the resort. Soufrière is wonderful, but it’s best to follow local advice for a safe and smooth experience. We can’t wait to come back someday. Thank you, Ladera, for the memories of a lifetime!

Ladera was the perfect honeymoon getaway. It started with our transfer from the opposite side of the island that we booked through the resort. Our driver, Clyde, played the best music, had amazing energy, and was so hospitable — I usually don’t do well on long car rides, but with him it was easy, and he set the tone for the whole trip. When we arrived at Ladera, we were greeted with welcome drinks while taking in the most incredible views of the Pitons. We stayed in two different open-wall rooms with private pools, and both were spotless and felt completely private despite being open on a mountainside. The resort has just one restaurant, but it did not disappoint — the food was fresh, ever-changing, and truly five-star. We also loved the hiking trail on the property, where we stumbled upon a fun little jungle gym hideout. Overall, if you’re looking for a truly relaxing and romantic resort, splurge on Ladera. It was worth every penny.

We came to celebrate our honeymoon and checked out immediately the next morning. We couldn’t sleep due to being eaten alive by what we now know were BED BUGS, and the room was 80°, even with all the fans running, plus the room was filled with bugs and lizards. We woke up covered in BED BUG bites, and it was an awful way to begin the honeymoon. It has been a battle for the remainder of our honeymoon to get a refund for that single night; luckily, we refused to leave until they refunded the other 4 days. Absolutely do not go here!!! We changed and moved down to Sugar Beach for a slight price increase and enjoyed a gorgeous villa and all-inclusive experience. Sugar Beach is the best way to visit St. Lucia!!! Even the food at Ladera was terrible. Our shrimp was black and the steak was grey! The only decent part of Ladera was the friendly employees, but that was it. Do not go!!!
