Our stay was absolutely perfect!! We were in a JR Suite and it was amazing! Loved the space, windows, thoughtful layout and most important comfortable beds!! Our stay included buffet breakfast that had anything you could want for breakfast and considering size and people it was well organized. They were also beyond accommodating after we checked out they allowed us to keep our bags in a secure place upto Midnight!!!! That was so helpful!! From the easy che k in to every encounter with staff they were friendly, helpful and professional! I forgot to mention they have a nice bar with great and actually very fairly priced cocktails for NYC. I highly reccomend Riu and cant wait to go back!!!

Our stay was as great! We are not picky just need clean room, good temperature control, and comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was a bonus that we really appreciated to get us going for the day. Location and getting to all the things we needed was easy. I would stay here again. Of course there are a few crowded times at peak breakfast hours or waiting for the elevator (which runs super fast btw) but that's to be expected and considering how many people were staying there, it was manageable.

I don't normally write reviews but in doing a lot of research to find the right hotel within the endless options in New York, I utilized a lot of reviews between Google and Hotels.com so I wanted to share with others who are also doing the same. From the start, everything was fabulous at Hotel Riu. We got in early so dropped our bags off earlier in the day and got our tickets to retrieve them later after check in time. When we arrived later, Mery checked us in and was so extremely helpful. She was very thorough, detailed, and answered our questions before we could even ask them. She took her time explaining where breakfast was, amenities available, etc. She was extremely polite and mailed a postcard for us (we provided the stamp). I'm not picky, I don't need anything fancy, just a bed and a nice place overall. My adult daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights in October and this was a perfect location for everything near Times Square and Broadway. The Bellmen will even hail a cab for you or suggest private car service for a fee or Uber. For the city, it was extremely quiet. Of course in any hotel you'll hear noise like other guests closing doors but aside from that this was quiet. No concerns with the bed or AC and I like a cool room. As many of the reviews have mentioned yes, the frosted glass in-between the bathroom and bedroom is a little interesting but if you just look away when the person's showering, it's not a big deal. The only con I would have to say is the bathroom light is pretty bright as far as shining thru the frosted glass if someone is still sleeping. A lot of people made comments about the breakfast and how busy it was but it's New York, it'll be busy anywhere you go. It was organized in a fast, New York way when you have droves of people coming in at all times so I think they did a great job. Make sure you put your room key in the elevator before selecting your floor or you'll take a fun little ride to other floors haha I'd stay here again easily! Great customer service!

We stayed with our family and could not have been happier with the experience. The rooms were beautiful and spacious and the beds were comfy. But the absolute best part of the stay was the staff. From the moment we checked in, the front desk (Karina) to the cleaning staff to the bell hops to the breakfast crew, everyone was beyond friendly and amazing. My daughter was there for her birthday and they made her feel on top of the world. It is a warm and welcoming atmosphere and it is truly the staff that makes this place so special. Thank you for the kindness and hospitality and overall positive experience for our family. The staff is the best there is

Busy hotel, just a few minutes away from Times Square. Great location for our first time visit to New York. Very near the subway and central to lots of the major attractions/sights. The hotel and room were very clean. The room a decent size (deluxe queen) with a great bathroom. Toiletries provided. Because of the very busy location there was some road noise (floor 12 room 13). The is some building work just in front of the hotel (starting at around 7am, even on Saturday). It didn’t bother us too much though. I would have liked a coffee machine/kettle in the room. Breakfast was very busy each day we went down for it between 08:45-09:45. A queue to be seated and also queuing to get the food. However, all the food was fresh and plentiful with everything you could want. You just need to be patient, the staff are very efficient. Thank you for a great stay and trip to New York. All in all, we had a great stay in this hotel and would recommend if you want a central location.
