The hotel is excellent and everyone working here is so friendly and attentive. The room was spotless everyday and all the facilities including the pool and gardens were very well maintained. Drinks were reasonably priced and the food at the hotel was excellent quality. Location is close to the airport so good for a short break. But if you are coming for a longer trip I would suggest you hire a car to see more of the island. Special shoutout to Monika from the rooftop bar who was very attentive and friendly.

Overall, this hotel is deserving of its 5 star rating. Gorgeous design, absolutely spotless and staff are incredibly friendly. The poolside waiter service is fantastic, as well as the other bars in the evening. I have never seen a hotel so clean and so well put together. My ONLY small complaint, is that the Air conditioning in the rooms isn’t good enough. I am aware of the laws that exist for energy saving, however our AC was kept on 24/7 and our room struggled to go below 24C. This could have been our specific room however. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel, disappointing service! The Lava Beach Hotel in Lanzarote is visually stunning and clearly designed to be a five-star resort. Unfortunately, the service and guest experience fall far below that standard. While the architecture and pool areas are elegant, the service quality is poor due to major language barriers and a noticeable lack of communication between staff and guests, particularly in the restaurant. The waiters often seem trained to avoid guest interaction, creating confusion at breakfast and dinner. At the live cooking stations, there is usually only one chef, so the queues become unacceptably long — not what you expect from a five-star hotel. The food area presentation is good, but the pool cleanliness could be improved. Rooms are spacious and attractive, yet amenities are very limited. Only six coffee capsules are provided for the entire stay, with no daily replenishment of water bottles. There is no turn-down service, and the air conditioning system makes the rooms feel dusty when switched on. Each guest receives only one towel, which is inadequate. The beachfront setting has great potential, but there is no staff presence to take food or drink orders, leaving most guests to walk next door to the Aussie Bar to order refreshments. After breakfast, there is little to do until the bar finally opens at 1 p.m. The spa is another missed opportunity: the staff are not particularly welcoming, and the treatment rooms are exposed to corridor noise. No staff members circulate around the pool to promote the spa or offer samples of treatments, which could easily increase guest engagement. Food quality varies; some dishes are overly salty, and the menu becomes repetitive over a week’s stay. The evening entertainment can be lively, but the music is too loud for guests in rooms above the bar. The sound insulation in the rooms is poor, allowing noise from outside and nearby rooms to carry through the night. Although the location is lovely, with direct beach access, there is no visible security at the gate, and the glass door to the beach is sometimes left open, allowing non-guests to enter. The Jacuzzi water often appears greenish, raising concerns about maintenance. In summary, this hotel has beautiful facilities but serious issues with service, organisation, and guest comfort. With proper staff training, better communication, and consistent five-star standards, it could become truly exceptional. Unfortunately, as it stands, it fails to deliver the experience it promises.

Beautiful place, very clean. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially in reception. In my opinion a couple of issues let it down. One of these issues were the chairs, probably OK for men but not for a woman of 5ft 3. They looked aesthetically pleasing but not at all comfortable. The other main issue was at dinner. I think in a 5 star hotel you shouldn't have to pay to have water at your table. Dinner was a buffet service and there was plenty of choice but not necessarily things that went together. The chef that was cooking on the hot plate needed to be more friendly and cheerful, didn't speak much English and was very sparing with his portions. There was a lovely roof top bar with a great view but was only open on limited days which was a real shame, also no toilet which meant you needed to get in the lift to reception if you needed the loo.

We had a wonderful time - we were here for a brief mini moon and the hotel was gorgeous. Really quiet location, lovely pool, loads of facilities. Also, for an all inclusive, excellent food options. Different each day, felt very high spec, lovely drinks choices. And everyone who worked there was just really lovely, we had a wonderful time and felt very treated. We’ve recommended to all our friends to go if they visit Lanzarote!
