Hikkaduwa is a popular area with tourists from around the world, and is known for its vibrant nightlife. If you fancy venturing out, you’ll find restaurants and bars within a 5-minute walk, and more as you keep walking along the coast. The historic city of Galle is within easy reach of Hikka Tranz, just 20km away. This area of Sri Lanka is a great destination for seeing some wonderful wildlife. The hotel can provide a number of experiences and excursions during your stay, including whale watching (October to April), diving and nature walks amongst many others.

The Crab

Fresh seafood dishes are the stars of the a la carte menu at The Crab. This restaurant is perfectly situated by the ocean, with the sea breeze adding a refreshing ambience while you dine on speciality dishes. Kavindu Gamlath
This was the best hotel stay I’ve ever had in my life. I’ve stayed in over 20 hotels across Sri Lanka, including two other Cinnamon chain hotels, but my experience here was by far the best. What truly made the difference was the staff everyone, from the reception and housekeeping to the security, pool attendants, and chefs, was incredibly friendly, polite, and always willing to help. Their warm hospitality really stood out. The food was delicious, and if you’re a pizza lover, you must try their Italian pizzas they were amazing! The drinks were also top-notch; I especially enjoyed the arrack- and rum-based cocktails. The room facilities were excellent, and the overall hotel environment was calm and relaxing. The swimming pool and sea view were stunning a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty around you. My favorite part was the sea-view balcony. We stayed here for our anniversary, and the team surprised us by beautifully decorating our room such a thoughtful gesture. Everything about our stay was simply perfect.

Our stay at Cinnamon Hikka Tranz was truly memorable, and we were especially impressed by the warm hospitality extended by Jayasanka. The highlight of our experience was definitely the dining service, which was nothing short of excellent — thanks to Kasun, who took wonderful care of us during dinner, and Oshen (trainee), who made our breakfast experience equally delightful. Even though the dining area was quite busy, Kasun remained incredibly attentive and efficient. We never had to wait or ask for anything — he anticipated our needs with a smile and handled everything with impressive speed and professionalism. His humility, friendly attitude, and genuine care made a lasting impression on us. A huge shout-out to the chefs as well! Out of all the Cinnamon hotels we’ve visited, this was by far the best food we’ve had. Everything was perfect — from the bakery items and porridge (including the delicious herbal porridge) to the hopper station, egg station, and so much more. The quality, freshness, and variety were outstanding. Cinnamon Hikka Tranz is fortunate to have such a dedicated and talented team. Kasun, Oshen, the serving team and the amazing chefs truly embody the spirit of great hospitality, and they made our stay and dining experiences one to remember. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, excellent service, and genuine Sri Lankan warmth.

My family and I had an amazing stay at Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon. From the welcome at the reception and through our entire stay the service was friendly, professional, personalized and welcoming. Sampath, kamal and imalsha were our servers at the breakfast buffet. They made sure we were always taken care of and had everything we need. Thank you for making our stay a special one. The hostess at the buffet, Chamila was hospitable and welcoming with a great smile. She made sure that we all had a great time. A very big thank you to all the staff at Hikka Tranz.

The location of the hotel is great, close to the beach with turtles and little sharks. The breakfasts are delicious, and the rooms are nice for Sri Lanka, all with ocean views. I would also like to mention the staff, who are all very friendly and helpful, and make your vacation unique! The man named Madvshanka, who helped with the cleaning, the staff at the breakfast, the guys at the pool, and the security team are all great people! We are sincerely grateful for this vacation.
