I came to this hotel recently with my autistic brother who tends to wrap himself in a blanket due to sensory issues. Upon checking in, one of the managers of the hotel began asking questions about my brother and started to raise concerns. He said that it didn’t look good for him to be in the lobby because “it’s a 5 star hotel.” He explained that having him in the lobby wasn’t a good look and that it made the hotel look worse in some way if my brother, who was bothering no body and making no noise whatsoever, were to be sat in the lobby or restaurant. To compensate he booked us into a very nice villa, I presume to put my brother as far away from the lobby as possible. This was a deeply saddening moment for not just me but for my family as well. The rest of the staff was great, however the gentlemen at the front desk made comments that I’ve never heard before at any hotel that I’ve stayed at with my brother, including 5 star hotels more expensive than this one. I encourage anyone with a disabled person in their family, or anyone who doesn’t meet the aesthetic standards of this hotels lobby, to find someplace else. Had this occurred in another country I’d consider filing a discrimination lawsuit against this hotel. What disappoints me the most about this experience is that it was my family’s first time in a Muslim country, and as Muslims we hoped we would receive the warmth and hospitality that is expected of us. Yet, my brother was discriminated against based off a circumstance he cannot control immediately upon entering the lobby. I suppose they value aesthetics over the comfort of their guests. Although the villa they moved us to was a great upgrade, my father was too scared to take my brother for a walk through the hotel. Truly disgusting and despicable behavior by that manager against someone who has never bothered anyone with his presence. I want to add that the name of the person who said this was Mohammed Farouk, the director of rooms.

A huge thank you to Chef Biswas who went above and beyond every single day to prepare special meals for our little ones (aged 3 and 2), even making dishes that weren’t on the buffet so they could eat healthy, nutritious food. He also treated us to my favourite pani puri and gol gappas and offered to make my husband’s favourite dishes too — truly exceptional service and such a kind person. Thank you also to the Room Service Team for always bringing up warm milk for the kids and making sure we had everything we needed, and to the Housekeeping Team for keeping our room spotless and working around our timings so thoughtfully. Every member of staff we met was so friendly, helpful, and welcoming — we really felt looked after from start to finish. His attention to detail, kindness, and positivity made such a difference to our stay — we always looked forward to seeing him each day. We’d also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Chef Biswas from the restaurant downstairs. He went far beyond his call of duty to ensure our two very young children (aged 3 and 2) had fresh, nutritious meals every day. He prepared special Indian dishes — completely spice- and chili-free — so they could enjoy proper home-style food. He even went out of his way to purchase potatoes that weren’t available at the hotel, just to make aloo parathas for our family, and offered to cook my husband’s favourite paneer dish too. Because of him, our children ate full, healthy meals every day — often two a day — and nothing was ever too much trouble for him. We are so, so grateful. A special thanks also to the room service team, who brought up warm milk for our children every morning and were always so accommodating, no matter the request. Their kindness and helpfulness truly made our stay comfortable and memorable. Fantastic stay, staff were ever so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a very spacious room although we could have done with a few more plug sockets. Nice view and close enough to the lift without hearing it. Housekeeping service was absolutely on point (Naim) ensuring we always had everything we needed including some very creative towel art!! Would certainly stay again based on this experience. Thank you!

Excellent service throughout our stay. We stayed for 9 nights and the rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day. Always fresh towels and great towel Art. It was my birthday and wedding anniversary during our stay and we came back to our room to find it had been decorated beautifully. Big thank you to Gukan, playa, Hussain, biswaith (excuse me if I have spelt incorrectly) but they were always giving top level service. A great team. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

I would like to commend Miss Emma, from the Front Desk, and her Team for going above and beyond and made sure that we had nice stay in the Hotel. We appreciate the Complimentary Birthday Cake and Birthday Design that was prepared and given by her Team to my Wife for her Birthday. As well as the Discounted Dinner Voucher and the Complimentary Room Upgrade that she made for us. I would like to commend Mr. Nayeem , as well, for keeping our Room Clean and Well Maintained. Foods that are served during the. Breakfast were all great. The Pool and the Beach were very nice, as well. Truly a must see and must visit place here in Abu Dhabi. Our stay was indeed unforgettable and we’d love to come back once again and recommend it to our Friends.
