We spent our honeymoon here at the beautiful Sugar Beach Motel. We were warmly welcomed with a complimentary drink and shown to our room. Our first night was wonderful, with a sparkling wine reception arranged for us. We felt very comfortable here — everyone treated us with great kindness and care, and every wish was fulfilled. We would especially like to highlight that all the staff members at Sugar Beach Motel are exceptionally friendly and courteous. Our special thanks go to Christine, the restaurant manager, for her outstanding hospitality. We also enjoyed some memorable evenings at the Maré Maré Restaurant as well as at the Buddha Bar. The musical evenings at sunset were always the highlight of our day. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone, and we will definitely return — hopefully for a special wedding anniversary.

My family and I have just completed a two-week stay at the Sugar Beach Hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting Mauritius; it really is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are kept clean, the mini bar is stocked daily, and all areas, from the gardens to the restaurants, are well maintained. A few days into my stay, I was approached by the nicest person I've ever met who works in a hotel, and her name is Anuradha (Executive Assistant). She asked us how our stay was going, and apart from some minor issues, which we explained, Anuradha took it all in her stride and acted so professionally. She then went above and beyond from that point. We explained we chose Mauritius and the Sugar Beach to celebrate my 50th and my sister-in-law's 40th, and Anuradha organised some amazing surprises for us both; I really can't thank her enough, she really is a credit to this hotel. I would also like to mention how good Bruno & Kris were at looking after us at the Maré Maré beach restaurant on the two visits we had during our stay. And a huge thank-you to Rishi and all the staff in the Buddha Bar; the food and service was amazing. The time I spent around the adult pool and the beach area adjacent to it, I was looked after and served by the very hard-working beach bar waiter Andre; this guy really works flat out all day and earns every bit of his pay, but never did I see him without a smile on his face. And last but not least, my room maid Sweety, and she really was so sweet; thank you for keeping our room smelling so clean and feeling tidy every day. And finally, I would like to thank all the staff members not mentioned for working so hard to try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible.

What a great place. We went back to our Honeymoon destination 15years later and were not disappointed. Great location, great food and great people. Santoo always greeted us by our names, Nisha was always ready to help in 'El Patio', Lorena was always smiling in 'Buddha Bar', Fazle and the rest of the 'Beach Squad' were very attentive and ready to bring us drinks (sometimes before we ordered) and Pamela greeted us with a smile each time we went to the gym (which wasn't as often as it should have been). All in all a fantastic holiday was made even better by the staff. We look forward to going back again soon.

From the moment we arrived at Sugar Beach Mauritius, we knew it was going to be a special holiday. The setting is stunning — a beautiful stretch of beach, clear blue skies, lush palms and tropical gardens. The staff, from the managers to every team member, greeted us with warmth and genuine care, which really set the tone for a lovely stay. The food was excellent. With children who have very sensitive stomachs, we were initially cautious — but the variety of dishes, the immaculate presentation and the staff’s awareness of dietary needs gave us full confidence. We all remained well for the entire two-weeks, which speaks volumes in a family holiday setting. We found that every detail was thoughtfully looked after. The rooms were spotless, public areas pristine and the grounds so well kept. Beyond that, the resort’s location worked so well — shops nearby, taxis easy to arrange and staff always willing to help make things smooth and enjoyable. In short: it was easy to relax and focus on our holiday rather than logistics. Evenings were enjoyable. We tried both of the à-la-carte restaurants and were impressed by the quality and atmosphere. As non-drinkers, we appreciated the variety and creativity of the mocktails — it felt inclusive, thoughtful and fun. The evening entertainment rounded off each day perfectly. A special highlight was the spa. Under Anna’s friendly management we booked the “Reconnect Couples Retreat” (two hours) and it was one of the most memorable spa treatments we’ve ever had. Huge thanks to Priscilla and Priya for just the right balance of relaxation and being looked after — we only wish we’d booked more treatments! We’d also like to thank two team members who made our stay especially personal: Santoo (Restaurant Manager, Food & Drink) – you went out of your way to make us feel comfortable and appreciated. Anuradha Servias (Executive Assistant) – your extra touches and attentiveness made a big difference to our holiday. And to the rest of the team: Yohan (La Pirogue Aquasport) for fun water-sports sessions. Atish and his aqua-gym/water-polo crew — great fun (and yes, I was “off-side” 🤪). Santaloo (Head Chef) — thank you for the friendly smile and that bowl of chips which my kids loved. Christian — our smoothie-maker extraordinaire! Farshan — the best omelettes we’ve had anywhere. Ginette — our room was always perfectly cleaned and the turn-down service thoughtful and efficient. All in all, our 14 full days of sunshine, crystal-clear seas, sky, and genuine hospitality have left us feeling fully recharged. I can wholeheartedly recommend Sugar Beach for anyone looking for a luxurious, family-friendly resort with true heart. Thank you to the entire Sugar Beach team — we can’t wait to return soon.

Wow this place exceeded our expectations. We have had the most amazing 12 night all inclusive holiday at Sugar Beach Resort. Every member staff was so welcoming and a special shout out to Nisha in the restaurant who looked after us every day Food was excellent so much choice. The location was perfect the beach along with everything else was really clean. We will definitely be returning hopefully very soon
