Me and my family (wife and 7-year-old son) visited this resort for a quick two night stay to relax, enjoy, and have fun. Instead, due to an incident at the resort, it turned out to be a stressful time and a traumatizing impact on my son. A dog was let loose without a leash when my son was cycling on the cycling track. Looking at the dog running towards him, my son tried to run away but got scratched on both his legs. We had to immediately take him to a hospital in Hua Hin and the doctor ordered multiple doses of vaccine due to this. If this was an accident, I can understand but this was sheer negligence and carelessness to let a pet free in a family resort with so many kids around. The resorts policy is to always have pets always secured and on leash in the resort. This basic rule was not followed by the resort’s staff itself. The worse was when we requested the resort to immediately have us discuss with the general manager, the entire team at the reception kept telling us different things. We were provided contact details of K. Nong who is the general manager of the resort who did not pick my call. We came back from the hospital and asked that we want to speak with the general manager. Next day in the morning, we asked to speak with her and nothing. The restaurant manager discussed about this incident with us and we mentioned that we wanted to discuss with general manager and still nothing. We checked out of the resort a bit earlier than the standard check out time because my son was traumatized and didn’t want to spend any time there. We again asked at the reception, we were told another set of lies that the general manager doesn’t work on that specific day. We asked to be called on her working day and suddenly the staff go somewhere and come back saying she will be reaching the resort in sometime. We left the resort, and the general manager decides to finally call me after a couple of hours. We spoke with her and get to know that it was her dog, and she had left it without a leash. I cannot believe that a senior person like her in the resort could do this mistake. She also mentioned that she works on a Saturday and that she was in a meeting when we checked out of the resort. Looks like the entire team were more into manipulating the facts. A total mismanagement by the entire team. I did not expect such kind of experience from a resort of this class. The way the entire team handled this incident was highly unprofessional. We visited the resort for having a fun time which was entirely ruined by the incident and the way the staff (including the general manager) handled the situation. As I write this, my son is unwell due to the vaccine and had to miss his school. He must take the vaccine multiple times and has to go through this all due to the carelessness of the resort. The first and the last time I will visit a SO/ group of resorts not because of just the incident that happened but the unprofessional way it was handled by the team.

My first choice family friendly hotel in Hua Hin. Plenty of activities for our kids to enjoy. Our Two-Bedroom Pool Villa is huge and spacious. Outdoor cabana is really nice to relax during the day. Breakfast variety is second to none in this area. New direct beach access is nice too. Definitely recommended this hotel

🌴 A Wonderful Stay at SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin 🌊 Our stay at SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! The resort is beautifully designed — chic, playful, and full of creative details that make it stand out from other hotels in Hua Hin. The staff were exceptional — warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. From check-in to check-out, every moment felt smooth and personalized. We loved the spacious and stylish room, complete with modern amenities and a comfortable bed that guaranteed a great night’s sleep. The pools was perfect for relaxing, and there were plenty of fun activities for both kids and adults. Breakfast was another highlight — a fantastic variety of fresh, delicious options, beautifully presented every morning. Overall, SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin is the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and creativity. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a refreshing seaside escape. We can’t wait to come back.

I had a valuable time here with my family. The kids had so much fun with the pools, both the long inflatable one and the inflatable dome in the kids' pool. Bicycles were available for free use, and there was a bike lane around the hotel, which the kids really enjoyed. There was also a mini-golf course for the kids to play. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices, and the staff were friendly and provided good service. The room was spacious, and I really liked the rain shower area. My only two regrets were that we couldn't go down to the beach and there was no elevator

We were there for 5 nights and what a wonderful break it was. We flew in to Bangkok and took a transfer that the hotel organised. Trip took just under 3 hours and it was essentially a whole day’s journey from airport to airport to hotel. We stayed in the SO Family Kid’s house and it comes with an attached cabin with two bunk beds for the kids. Room had a nice living space and bathroom included a rain shower where you can get both frontal and back view of yourself via large mirrors 😂 Pantry is located in the bathroom so plan ahead if someone else is in the bathroom and you need to make a cup of coffee. The hotel has one restaurant with a decent spread of western and Asian menu. ALL plus members get discounts so certainly worth signing up before your trip. Breakfast spread was wonderful too. Staff were attentive and friendly so we felt right at home. There is a basic but comfortable gym, a Games Room the kids, a Spa, and 4 pools around the property. There are also free rental of bikes, golf clubs for the mini golf course, and pickle ball. Other items including electric cars, underwater scooter, etc have to be rented and prices are a little steep but the kids will have fun. The property also has a 3km bicycle route on proper pavements which is great fun for the kids (especially if you rent one of the bikes or cars for them to sit in). As any resort in Asia, the rooms will naturally have its local inhabitants including geckos, ants, mosquitoes, spiders, millipedes, an flies but it’s all manageable 😅 We had a wonderful time and wouldn’t mind visiting again or recommending this to our friends and family ❤️
