I wanted to write a review on our experience traveling with our 11 month old, we came for a week at the beginning of october. I didn't see many reviews regarding little ones before we came, so hopefully this will give good insight to those traveling here with littles in the future! We were treated so well, I can't relate to the negative reviews some people have had. Food was great, there were highchairs at each restaurant and the staff was exceptional and always accommodating. Alot of the staff made fun animal sounds to make my baby girl laugh and it really added to the experience for us. The locals were a highlight in general for sure. The pools were beautiful, but usually warm because of the constant exposure to the sun. For the best shade and cooler temp., you'll want to stick with the lazy river. We also brought a baby floatie she was able to sit in which was 100% worth it. You'll definitely want to bring a stroller to get to and from the beach/pools/restaurants, etc. We stayed in a family room which had a sliding wall - this was nice for when baby had her naps and could have a dark space to sleep. They also had good sized and comfortable cribs, but make sure to bring bedding aside from sheets. I was worried about the water quality in terms of washing and having enough filtered water for her bottles, but we got an abundance of bottled water whenever we requested it and it was more than enough. We also were given a kettle for sterilizing which was perfect. It's always nerve racking traveling with babies, but the royalton bavaro really made our experience smooth and seamless. I would definitely come back and would recommend this resort to all types of family dynamics. Special s/o to Adonis, Evert, Diego, the omelet chef, Teofino and Sam - they all gave truly exceptional service

Extremely Disappointed – Would Not Recommend Royalton Bavaro Resort Our group had a very disappointing experience at the Royalton Bavaro Resort, and I would not recommend this property to anyone considering a group trip or event here. To begin, about 50% of the staff were unfriendly or unhelpful, which immediately set the wrong tone for our stay. The resort did not honor the written contract we were given. We were promised one free room after every 10 rooms paid in full and a room upgrade after every 15th room. We also had a dedicated booking link for our group, but many people experienced booking errors. I immediately reported these issues by email and phone, but communication was difficult due to the language barrier. Despite several emails and calls, the resort insisted that only a few of our group members used the link, even though I personally helped at least 10 couples book through it. Our group reserved around 20 rooms, and it was clear that we were all traveling together, yet management refused to honor the free room or upgrade as outlined in our contract. We spent hours at the front desk trying to resolve this with no success. The manager said he would investigate but never followed up. The problems didn’t stop there. Many of our group members did not receive the room type they paid for—several booked King Swim-Out rooms and were instead given Double Bed rooms or non–swim-out rooms. The resort also smelled strongly of mildew, and even now, our backpacks still smell like it. When checking in, we discovered that the resort tried to charge our deposit again even though it had already been paid. The deposit policy was clearly stated in the contract, yet the staff couldn’t figure out how their own system worked. I can’t help but wonder how many guests have been overcharged in this way. On the positive side, our maid did a great job, and our butler was okay, though he seemed stretched thin and we rarely saw him. Unfortunately, our group also experienced health issues during the trip. Almost everyone suffered from diarrhea, and one person even had to be rushed to the hospital for food poisoning. To make matters worse, the water was out for about 10 hours in most of our rooms one day, in 80–90°F weather. Overall, this was a frustrating, disorganized, and disappointing experience from start to finish. For a resort that promotes itself as luxury and group-friendly, their lack of professionalism, poor communication, and unwillingness to honor agreements is unacceptable. Save yourself the headache and choose another resort.

We went on a couples trip to the Royalton Bavaro in Punta Cana and I would say it’s definitely not worth your money, especially if you’re looking for an adults only area as there are children everywhere. As soon as we reached there on our first day, we waited over 2 hours just to check into our resort and room. Then we had to wait another hour till 3pm for our room to be ready which our rooms should’ve been already prepared and ready at us arriving there. Our room had the worst view. We had the view of seeing a whole concrete building right across from our room which is terrible because we are paying for our room and we are getting a terrible view. Our refrigerator was not being replenished on a daily basis. We ordered room service at night time and said they would’ve taken (90 mins) to arrive..waited over 2 hours and no one even showed up. Our last day, they had cut off water in certain areas and buildings to do maintenance roughly around 8am-6:45pm and our building was one of them, which means you can’t shower, or even use the toilet. Also our room had a leak through the ceiling from someone else’s shower which was very bad. Buffet was okay, they had okay food, same food every other day. Teppanyaki, Steakhouse, and Italian restaurants are the best restaurants on the resort. The beach was also a downfall as there was lots of sea moss on the beach and found a big nail in the sand where people sit under the tree huts and relax on the chairs, luckily I seen it, otherwise someone would’ve got hurt. Another downside to the resort is their stone tiles all over the resort. The tiles are very smooth which means you have to be carful with walking as I slipped and hurt my foot along walking on these smooth stone tiles. The bar servers gave us our drinks in paper cups when there was plastic and glass cups to serve in. I wouldn’t really recommend this resort.

We are currently staying at Royalton Bavaro in Punta Cana, and I have to say the hotel is absolutely beautiful — just like in the pictures! Our check-in experience was very pleasant. The lobby is stunning, and everything went smoothly and comfortably thanks to Shester Leonardo, who has been with us since our arrival and has continued to assist us throughout our stay. The food has been delicious so far, and the rooms are super comfortable and spotless. The beach is incredibly clean and completely free of seaweed, which I really appreciate since it’s been an issue in many places in recent years. Everything feels easier and more relaxing when you have great staff and kind people like Shester around you. So far, everything has been truly pleasant and enjoyable. Overall, we’re having a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Punta Cana.

The Royalton Punta Cana is an incredible resort that truly has something for everyone. The breakfast buffet is absolutely amazing—there are several omelet chefs ready to make your eggs just the way you like them, plus a smoothie station to start your day fresh. After breakfast, you can stroll over for a latte, cappuccino, or even a coffee cocktail. The coffee here, sourced from Santo Domingo, is smooth and strong—absolutely delicious! From there, you can head straight to the beach with its gorgeous white sand and crystal-clear water, or enjoy one of the many pools, including the fun lazy river. The staff are always courteous, kind, and helpful, and what stood out to me is that they do this without expecting a tip (although tips are always appreciated). Security here is excellent as well—I felt completely comfortable leaving my things and phone on a beach chair without worry. Entertainment is lively and fun, with a special shoutout to Pandaboy and Ricardo, who go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good time. Whether you’re looking for a fun, upbeat party vibe or just want to relax on the beach, this resort strikes the perfect balance. The lunch buffet is outstanding, and while the restaurants are just okay (I’d skip the tiramisu at the Italian restaurant), the overall food experience is very enjoyable. All in all, the Royalton Punta Cana is a fantastic family resort with an amazing staff, beautiful grounds, and plenty to do. I left relaxed, happy, and already planning my return! 🌴✨
