I stayed here for one night, the night before the NYC Marathon, it was a very convenient location for my 7:30am ferry out of pier 79. I really just needed a comfortable place to sleep for one night and it served its purpose. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but there was no mini fridge in the room. The bathroom didn’t offer much privacy as there was only a sliding glass door separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom/ sink, which is not a dealbreaker for me but may be for some. From what I see now prices are more toward the $200/$300 per night mark, but I paid over $700 for one night given it was marathon weekend and halloween weekend. As others have said the room is small, but if you just need somewhere to sleep and aren’t spending much time in your room it doesn’t make too much of a difference

Stayed here Sept 2024 - sorry for late review-I forgot. Location is excellent. As a solo female traveller I never was worried about walking back to hotel at 2am in the morning even. Close to everything. Clean and comfortable. Reasonable size rooms for New York. Great view from room. Housekeepers were lovely and good at their job. Reception and security staff wonderful. Had an issue with with a leaky pipe, maintenance came late at night it couldn’t be fixed then so I was moved to an equally nice room. Loved it that much I have booked again for Xmas this year

The location is incredible, right in the centre, with everything within easy walking distance! Room is functional and the bed is super comfortable! The true highlight of our stay was our housekeeper, Hadiza. We were travelling as a family and had connecting rooms. Every morning, as we left our bedrooms, we would meet Hadiza in the corridor, always with a huge smile and such a positive energy. She consistently asked if everything was fine with the rooms and if she had forgotten something, truly asking for feedback. She was wonderful with the kids, always chatting with them on our way out and even organising their teddy bears on their beds. It was such a thoughtful touch! The day before our departure, we returned to find a lovely handwritten note from Hadiza in our room, thanking us for our stay and saying she hoped to see us again. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to thank her in person as she was off the next day, but Hadiza, if you ever read this, thank you! You made our stay more special!

Four stars hotel? Maybe in their dreams. We booked an 8-day stay here, and today is only the third day — yet I already regret every minute. Apparently, “daily housekeeping” at this so-called 4-star hotel means absolutely no cleaning at all. The dust and dirt in the washbasin from day one are still proudly on display, and the scraps of paper on the floor seem to be part of the hotel’s interior design concept. By day three, the body cream bottle was mysteriously empty — impressive, considering the cleaner never even stepped inside. Maybe it evaporated out of frustration. Breakfast was the final touch: a lipstick-stained glass sitting cheerfully by the drink station. Nothing says “bon appétit” like someone else’s lipstick. If you scroll through recent Google reviews, you’ll see everyone complains about hygiene — and the hotel’s replies are identical copy-paste “Thank you for your feedback” messages. Maybe that’s the only thing they clean regularly — their reputation. Summary: If you enjoy filth, neglect, and robotic apologies, Yotel is your paradise. For anyone else with basic hygiene standards — run🙄

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. Other than that, here’s a quick list: The staff, despite having signs everywhere saying guests must treat them respectfully, act as if you owe them something. Don't waste you time if you have any complain, even if they said that you need to send an email to their relationship manager. He will gosht you (and your travel agent) I was located in a first stage at room 2416 an second stage at 1533. The elevators are like “The Hunger Games” — you have to fight to get one, if you’re lucky. The rooms are incredibly small and claustrophobic. The hallways constantly smell of marijuana. But if you dare to light a cigarette or smoke near the entrance, you’ll be treated like a criminal. Breakfast is the same every single day — no variety at all. Check-in before 3 p.m.? Forget it. And if you want to leave your luggage, it’s $3 per bag. The noise levels are unbearable. In short, I would not recommend this place at all. It perfectly represents the decline of what used to be good service and hospitality
