I stayed at Park Hyatt Zanzibar and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Stone Town and directly on the beach, making it ideal for exploring the city and enjoying breathtaking ocean views. I highly recommend booking the ocean view room — waking up to the sound of the waves and that stunning view every morning is simply magical. The staff were all very kind and attentive, but a special thanks goes to Dennis, the hotel manager, for his warm hospitality and exceptional care throughout our stay. He made sure everything was perfect. The food was excellent, the cleanliness top-notch, and the overall atmosphere luxurious yet relaxing. If I ever return to Zanzibar, I will definitely stay here again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Park Hyatt Zanzibar is perfectly located in Stone Town and has beautiful views of the sunset and the local life. The hotel has a beautiful historic story and the interior decorations are done to reflect that. The reception we received when arriving at the hotel from the gentlemen at the entrance was welcoming and warm. The concierge gave us a tour of the hotel grounds and then brought as to our spacious and well appointed room. He made us feel very special and welcome. The pool is overlooking the beach and is beautiful but the glass needs to be cleaned a bit so you can see better. Beautiful outdoor seating area and dining area. In the early evening there are quite a bit of mosquitos so bring spray. Book walking city tours with the hotel directly and no one else. Overall most of the staff were exceptional however there were a couple who did not meet the standards. We enjoyed our stay at the Park Hyatt Zanzibar and when in Stonetown, this is absolutely the place to stay.

The staff were incredible. The WiFi was down when I arrived and they didn’t have a hard copy of my online booking. They gave me a room no questions asked before they could verify my reservation. The staffed helped me book multiple tours that were wonderful. Burhan from the hospitality team gave my wife and I some of the best service we have received anywhere in the world. We definitely recommend.

This hotel is an example of how to mix modernity and tradition and produce an awesome experience.👍 Initially, I thought I was going stay in the typical Park Hyatt with the formulaic amenities and services, the only difference will be the view. I was so mistaken to think so! The hotel main building (where the lobby is located) is a historic building renovated to perfection to match the initial 19th Century Zanzibari design. This was mainly due to the strict rules placed by both the Zanzibari government and the UNESCO (of which the entire of Stone Town is a World Heritage Site), the hotel was expanded to a new neighbouring building built to exactly match the older main structure. There is a Mango tree over 200 years old, sitting at the center (between both buildings), that was kept because it was planted by order of the first Omani Sultan of Zanzibar Sayyid Said bin Sultan, from a seed brought from Mumbai. Details like these make this a landmark to see in a city with countless historic landmarks. The view doesn't disappoint either, with our suite facing the Stone Town beach which is active from sunrise to after sunset, with many children, fishermen, artists and sales people calling the place home. It is not the best place to seek quite and relaxation, but for people seeking people watching all day long it doesn't seize to amuse. The rooms are big with furniture in the Zanzibari Style scattered everywhere, while having the latest in modern amenities such as Flat Screen TV and WIFI, not to mention AC, Coffee Machine, Electric Kettle, Ironing tools, .., etc. The service in room and restaurants is reliable and quick. Same for housekeeping. The food is exceptionally good. Of special note is the breakfast buffet with many options, some of which are from local produce, a favourite of mine was the coconut served on demand. The Concierge is excellent. As for location, if you want to stay in Stone Town you can not do better, with everything within walking distance. The only issues I had were:- A) The WIFI can be unreliable at times. B) The in room dinning menu is available only upon request. C) The options on the menu can be limited, but they have a can do mentality where they will try to provide but might be inconsistent (we ordered cheese platter for dinner on several nights and received different servings and sides every time).

A true 5 star experience - rooms, service, dining options and the amenities are excellent. Our room was very clean, and both the daily and turndown services were well done. Breakfast was also very nice and was included. The hotel is close to many of the attractions in Stone town. The pool is clean and there were plenty of chairs when we went. There is beach access via a staircase, although it is a public beach. I recommend this hotel to anyone in the area
