Fantastic resort and staff! The service was wonderful, and we especially appreciated the attention from our butlers, Danilo and Edward; entertainers Shaggy and Black Mamba; Hamlet on the beach; Eddie with pilates and yoga; and all the great servers and bartenders. The resort is beautiful, but the staff is what makes it exceptional. While our room was cool and comfortable, there wasn't much air conditioning elsewhere. The restaurants were warm, and the lobby bar was terribly hot the last few days and nights. We can't wait to return in the future, but we'll be bringing fans and mosquito repellent for the evenings. Our only recommendation for the resort is that they open the café earlier than 7am. We would have loved coffee while watching the sunrise on the beach.

Reynaldo and Armando were absolutely amazing to us! They were so kind in helping us plan activities, giving us directions and guidance on places to eat. Most of all they decorated our room for our 10 year anniversary making it an incredible surprise to come back to and our getaway more special than I could ever imagine! We are forever grateful for all of the kindness and care we received! Also Miguel, the waiter that constantly looked out for us and serviced us at every restaurant we went to. We are forever thankful and grateful! The waiter Samuel who always lended a helping hand every time we ate at the buffet! He made our dining experience so much fun with his good humor, it made our dining experiences full of happiness. Thank you!!

Armando was amazing. He made sure I had an amazing birthday with all sorts of surprises! This resort was beautiful and the service and cleanliness was beyond what we expected. Definitely recommend. We have traveled all over the Caribbean and this line of resorts is now my favorite and I will look for their brand. From the moment we entered to the food to the grounds and all the staff, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend the few extra dollars for the upgrade.

We booked this resort through Costco and are so glad we got such a great deal! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is absolutely amazing - both the buffet and à la carte options had incredible vegetarian choices along with fresh meat. The entertainment team was fantastic and made sure we were always having fun. Big shoutout to Black Mamba, Shaggy, Dai, Smiley, and Sugar for making our vacation extra special! The only downside was the presentation, which unfortunately took up about half a day but aside from that, everything was perfect. We’re definitely coming back!

This was our second time staying at JOIA Iberostar and our sixth trip to the Dominican Republic. Last year was our first visit to this resort, and we immediately fell in love with it. This year, we couldn’t wait to return — and once again, it exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly, the resort is spotless and beautifully maintained, and the food is delicious. The service is truly top-notch. A huge thank you to our butlers, Armando and Raymond, who took exceptional care of us and made sure every need was met. Jary and Jessica were always kind and welcoming, and Johnnie was amazing as well! The sports and entertainment team was energetic and fun — a special shoutout to Shagi, Shugar,Smily and Natalie, who made every activity enjoyable and memorable. We had another unforgettable vacation and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend JOIA Iberostar Resort! 🌴✨
