We had a wonderful holiday at Iberostar Waves Playa Park. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive – a special thank you goes to Franzi, who made our stay even more memorable with her warm and welcoming nature. The rooms are modern and very well equipped, the food is delicious and varied, and the location is just perfect – close to the beach and still very central. There are only a few small things that could be improved: • In the gym, two machines were out of order during our entire stay – regular maintenance would be helpful here. It would also be good to ensure that children don’t just enter the gym freely, as it’s not a playground. • The lifeguards at the pool are doing their job, but sometimes they can be a bit too strict, even when children are just playing normally – a bit more relaxation would make the atmosphere easier for families. • Depending on the room, it can get quite loud at times – either due to early morning deliveries or the evening entertainment. If you prefer peace and quiet, it’s better to book a room facing outwards, even if that means skipping the sea view. Overall, it was a fantastic holiday and we would definitely come back. We recently spent another wonderful holiday at Iberostar Waves Playa Gaviotas. We have been coming here on and off for many years now, and it remains one of our favorite hotels. The staff plays a big part in this; friendliness is all-over the hotel. Although it’s a large hotel, the atmosphere is personal. The restaurant and bar staff deserve a special shout-out as they make our stay extra special because of their friendliness, chats and jokes. Also, the staf at the reception is always helpful to provide tips and suggestions to make a stay at Fuerteventura pleasant. The food is of great quality, fresh and with a lot of variety every day. The all-inclusive wines (Iberostar) are not of a very high quality, though. But the rose cava is nice and you have a really nice bottle of wine for €11 extra. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped and clean. In the past, the entertainment team used to play loud music and was very present, but during our recent stay, we were happy to notice that the music was less loud and the entertainment team was less visible. Still on a level that people participating in the activities can enjoy themselves, but the people not participating can also enjoy their stay. We hope that this remains in the future. The re-use point for swimming pool and beach utilities is a great initiative, making our stay more pleasurable, both in the sense that we could borrow some useful beach utilities, but also that we could leave some of our beach utilities at the re-use point, ready for a second life. In one word: impressionante!

Came here two years ago and we loved it. Back again this year and the hotel looks amazing after the refurbishment. Wanted to highlight the restaurant and the food. Special mention to Damian (the waiter at the restaurant). Always has our table ready, impeccable service and always with a smile. Makes looking after a table of 11 easy. If you are looking for a family holiday in the sun, this is the place!

We were there for a week, and everything was perfect! Even though this is a family hotel and we don’t have any kids, the time we spent here was great and relaxing. The highlights were, of course, the staff and the food. Everyone was really nice and friendly, and the food was amazing — a great selection, and every day something new to try and discover. The location is wonderful, right on the beach, and the sand is golden. I visited the spa too, and my masseuse, Gisela, was really sweet. She gave me the best massage I’ve had in a long time! If you have kids, it’s magical — they have all kinds of games, and there’s something new every day, from drawing to singing to sports. We loved it. Thank you.

We stayed at this hotel for two weeks in June and had a wonderful experience. We rented a car at the airport (about an hour away), which was a great decision since it gave us the chance to explore the area. The hotel itself is excellent – spacious, very clean rooms and a welcoming atmosphere. The entertainment was good, but our little one especially loved the pools. The water was perfect and kept the kids happy for hours. Food was another highlight, with plenty of delicious options available throughout the day – something for everyone. If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend renting a car. Within just 10–15 minutes you can reach many beautiful beaches, each with its own charm. It really adds to the experience and makes the trip even more special. Overall, a fantastic stay that we would definitely recommend!
