We had an amazing time visiting this resort. The animationteam gave us a very warm welcome and made our time here so much fun! They do a lot of fun activities with the guests. Especially Eunice, because she really took the time for us and often came to talk with us. She is super friendly person and a great dancer!

CHIC Wasaga Spa

I came here for a seven-day all-inclusive trip with my family. The trip was excellent; the only issue was that the room felt very damp. We also paid for the upgrade to the platinum package, which includes access to the platinum section, serving Al Lacar-style cuisine. The food at the vip is much better compared to the standard buffet. My kids got to enjoy the facility, the kids' club, and the little pool for kids, which features slides. Overall, I'd give this place 4.5 stars. The room needs improvement, but it's minor compared to our overall experience as a family. I read numerous reviews before visiting, and many of the negative ones mentioned the staff being rude, which was a concern of mine before coming here. However, let me tell you that the staff were very friendly, attentive, and courteous. They always smile and treat you right. I did not have one instance where the staff was rude to me or my family. I want to thank the server, Emilio, Cepin and Agustin, as well as many others whose names I have unfortunately forgotten. Kelvis, the shuttle driver, helped me carry my luggages to my room. When I didn't like the room, he stayed with me for hours, along with Johancy, one of the managers, to find us a better room for our accommodation. I would recommend anyone with small children to give this place a chance.

Beautiful place. Everyone is very friendly and the service was excellent. A special message to Deyanira Batista, our housekeeper she was amazing. She made sure we were very well taken care of. She had our room spotless and stocked up, help with laundry and even left little flower by our pillows. Thank you everyone and thanks Deyanira for an amazing Punta Cana experience🥰

Great location. The staff is wonderful. The restaurants lacked having authentic ethnic food (i.e. Mexican, Brazilian etc.). The food pretty much had a delicious Dominican flavor. The room didn’t have facial towels or facial tissues. Minor but important. Recommend this resort.

I stayed at Tropical Deluxe Princess in Punta Cana, and while the resort appears beautiful on the surface, my experience was very disappointing. From the start, my room wasn’t ready at check-in and there were no towels available. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, and despite multiple complaints, staff refused to send maintenance or address the issue, claiming the system was working normally. In reality, it doesn’t provide real cold air—it blows cool air for a few minutes, then switches to fan mode, leaving the room warm and uncomfortable. The toilet handle was broken, forcing me to lift the tank lid to flush. Even after several calls to the front desk, it wasn’t fixed until the third day. The room also had ants and even a small yellow lizard. Staff said it would be fumigated, but only mopped instead—no real pest control was done. Housekeeping was another problem. They don’t have access to all rooms, so if you’re not there to let them in, your room won’t be cleaned. The photos online are very misleading—clearly, most of the effort and budget went into the lobby and reception areas, not the rooms themselves, which are dated and poorly maintained. During my stay, not all restaurants were open, and the resort seems to be expanding faster than it can handle. Guest demand far outweighs staffing levels, so service is slow and workers appear overwhelmed. To make matters worse, the property doesn’t allow Uber, yet there are no taxis readily available, making it difficult to leave when needed. Overall, this resort relies heavily on appearances and marketing rather than actual guest comfort. For the price and reputation, it was a major letdown. I wouldn’t recommend it unless serious improvements are made.
