Hotel in the middle of construction site, Beavh is dirty, rooms are not as 4 star level, (stains on tables and wardrobes, paint peeling off walls and very small room). Birds feeding on buffet breakfast. Staff were very nice just a shame about the location and quality of the room I stayed in. All they have to do is close the doors or put beads up to stop birds feeding on the buffet breakfast. I just don’t feel it is a 4 star hotel at all. Spa is definitely not great either. One lady doing massage that it.
The Olive Tree Natural & Holistic Therapies
Very comfortable hotel with great food, it is a little more pricey than other places to eat nearby but everything is clean and very nicely presented. The hotel is right on the edge of Santa Maria and is a 15 minute walk along an unmade road into town. The hotel is surrounded by construction sites and desert wasteland around the headland. For relaxation and a place to unwind it is perfect, very quiet and chilled vibe by the pool. The staff are friendly and helpful and our room was plenty big enough for the two of us.

Fantastic holiday at an unbelievable price (we were lucky & seemed to have paid a lot less than others did), gorgeous setting right on the sea. Nice breakfast with lots of choice. Easy to relax by the pool, very plush & luxurious. Great restaurant, although more expensive than local restaurants, there some hidden gems off the beaten track more inland, which are very cheap. Only downside is that it is quite isolated & surrounded by construction sites & it takes 15 mins to walk into town. Overall a very relaxing holiday in a very chilled environment. Cleaning staff very good & deserve a mention. NB: There’s not a lot of stuff to do on Sal other than lie on the beautiful beach or by a pool.

This hotel is simply amazing! I had the most wonderful experience from start to finish. Everything was perfect – the beautiful design, the relaxing atmosphere, the stunning views, and the incredibly kind and attentive staff. The food was delicious, the pool was a dream, and every corner of the hotel felt like a little piece of paradise. I felt truly cared for and didn’t want to leave. Thank you for making my stay so special – I’ll definitely be back!

A budget hotel with views out to sea. Situated half way down an unmade road 15 minutes walk from Santa Maria, it's not on a sandy beach because its all made up of shells and rocks, plus there is a dirt track used by local taxis, quad bike tours and tour buses. Budget furniture, towels, pillows etc. They are trying to freshen things up , albeit poorly. Breakfast is average, budget standard, powered milk in the coffee machine . We ate in the restaurant for only one night and sent the fish main course back because the fish wasn't cooked. Small portions and very expensive compared to restaurants in Santa Maria or even just outside the hotel. The Buddha statues are mixed with South Korean ( thank you Google picture search) and Egyptian. Also too many rules to enjoy the Zen atmosphere , a mismatched experience . We enjoyed Santa Maria and Cape Verde and the relaxed vibe.
