Went for a special birthday, and quickly booked another stay because it was that fantastic. Yes, it’s expensive. But it’s so beautiful, the rooms and perfect, the amenities are spectacular, and the service is beyond compare. The location is great for people who love the Magic Kingdom. The best part though? It’s the heavenly scent the put in the main Great Ceremonial House. It is pure magic and makes me feel like I am actually in some far off Polynesian paradise. The only down side I saw were getting to Epcot either requires an odd monorail ride in a loop to get back to the TTC or a walk to the TTC. Depending on where your room is, that might be a bit of a hike. But it’s not really that big of a deal.

Our family really enjoyed staying at the Polynesian for our annual Disney trip. The rooms were very accommodating to families with a queen, a kids trundle bed AND a Murphy bed that was very comfy. There were also 2 bathrooms that made getting ready easy for everyone. The rooms were also clean and the balconies were a great space to hang out. We enjoyed all the dining options — Captain Cooks grab and go had healthy options, and Kona and Ohana were special dining experiences. I have to give a huge shoutout to the manager Keith and an employee in the Island Tower who went so over and beyond to help our family on the last night of our trip when we didn’t have dining reservations and we were having a hard time finding dining options. Their kindness and excellent customer service were a highlight of our trip. Our kids loved the splash pad at the pool and the adults loved the grab and go cocktails at the bar nearby (those bar tenders were also amazing and deserve a shoutout!). The kids also enjoyed the sandy beach volleyball area. The monorail and Minnie Lyft SUVs made getting to the parks a breeze! Overall, the Polynesian was amazing and we’d recommend it to any family. Just make your dining reservations in advance!

A six night stay with four kids. We have three rooms and the experience is consistent. The same overpriced, disappointing experience that has become synonymous with Disney. Disney knows the parks and resorts are still packed even with reduced quality, so the incentive to invest in “wow” service has eroded. They get away with mediocrity, and they know it. First, the rooms are filthy. You’ll need to ask to have it properly cleaned. Ours had cobwebs snd a thick layer of dusty throughout. Be warned if you have allergies or asthma. Disney has prioritized margins and shareholder optics over guest experience. That means fewer bell staff, fewer front desk agents, less training time, and less empowerment for employees to fix problems on the spot. Aside from the restaurant staff, Disney’s staff is completely unprofessional. They don’t take pride in what they do or where they work anymore. Most of them lack basic people skills. They love explaining why they won’t make something right. Don’t be sucked in by remodeling. The “updated” rooms are awful. Updates were done only with cutting costs in mind. They’re cold and institutional. It feels like a hospital or nursing home. A toddler could have decorated it better. None of the tech in the rooms works. The service is abysmal, but that has become the norm at Walt Disney World. Expect to do everything yourself, receive condescending responses from 20- somethings, and pay an arm and a leg for it.

Absolutely gorgeous resort! Everything is so pretty and well thought out. It is pricey but definitely worth it! Our room was beautiful and had a great view of the fireworks. We love to go during Christmas time to watch the boat parade! The amenities are always clean. The customer service is impeccable! House keeping always provided us with the extras we asked for. This is by far my favorite Disney resort to stay at. When we had a problem with our bathroom they were quick to remedy it. Definitely would recommend staying here.

My wife and I are local to the Orlando area and decided to go out and stay on property for my daughter's 6th birthday. Since she is such a fan of Disney. We also chose to go during a weekend where there was the Mickey's Not so scary Halloween event. I found the hotel to be impeccably clean. The staff was extremely friendly. And the service was great. There are activities for kids as well as an incredible pool area. Located right on the monorail so that you can easily get to magic Kingdom or take the boat directly from the resort straight over to magic Kingdom. We had a great time and discussed potentially going back someday. It is a little bit pricey, but it is a unique experience that we found worth the price tag.
