Exceptional Service and Wonderful Staff! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My stay at the hotel was absolutely delightful! From the very beginning, I was impressed by the warm and professional service provided by the staff. Tak and Rona truly made my experience unforgettable. Tak was incredibly attentive, always ready to help with a smile and genuine kindness. Rona went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect during my stay — her friendliness and attention to detail made me feel right at home.

We had a truly wonderful stay here! The staff were extremely kind, always helpful, and made sure every service was perfectly taken care of. Our room was spotless, and the daily cleaning service kept everything fresh and tidy. Even though we only stayed for three days, they made us feel completely at home – we will truly miss them. A special thank you goes to the reception team, who were always so welcoming and smiling – especially Bumbim, Gun, and Dokkaew, who made our stay unforgettable. Everything was absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, warmth, and genuine hospitality.

You’re paying for beach access and a roof over your head, that’s it. Their lack of security and service policies were glaring. There’s something really soulless and corporate about this establishment. Staying here felt as if i was a number on a cash flow spreadsheet. Service was so impersonal, disingenuous and inhospitable. An example, I had lunch at their beach restaurant, I sat at the end, it was hard to call staff’s attention but i was having a chill day by the beach so i was in no hurry. When waitress came to take the order, i let her know that i am a guest at the hotel, she didn’t ask for my room number or anything so i made sure to let her know anyways. Normally, my resort experiences, thats all you have to do, sometimes don’t have to do anything at all, everything still charged at the end. Food is done, i wait for staff to come around but no one does so I thought ok I can go chill at the beach. I’m already in the middle of rows of people when one of their staff from the restaurant (the MANAGER) was SCREAMING “MAAM MAAAM YOU HAVE TO PAY” everyone turned around to look at me or look for the person this guy is yelling for. So i turn around, try to calmly (hoping he would reciprocate and respond more calmly) tell him, there must be a confusion because i am a guest, i let the waiter know my number, he barks at me like im a dog “YOU HAVE TO COME PAY.” Im on vacation and paid $100USD per night to be here, only to be treated like im some sneaky bum coming in for a meal and then dashing. It was really embarrassing and upsetting. i spoke to the hotel manager, didn’t really feel satisfied but whatever, I moved on. NEVERTHELESS, their effort to show they “cared”, they gave me a copy of an apology notecard (picture attached), looks like they have a stack of these in the back and just pity hand them out whenever a guest complain to make them feel better. They honestly should NOT have done anything if they were going to be so disingenuous. Makes me feel worse, like they don’t hear how embarrassing it was to be mistaken to not be able to pay for a 300baht. We are not looking for handouts, just professionalism. Also, for beach hotel, you are really stingy with your floor matts and how often you change the sheets. The bathrooms are pretty nasty. I was surprised because room is beautiful and renovated but you got these gross tiles that are hardly to clean properly so i’m wearing flip flops in the shower and placing my soaps anywhere but the shelf. If you are in such fear of cheap guests, stop doing cheap things. Like the tacky market selling cheap trinkets. I actually love hotel markets, normally they offer artisanal, homemade, culturally enriching or useful products but this was distasteful and pathetic, why scam your own guests? Thailand has so many cool local products and artist and you choose to provide space for vendors who are clearly there to rip off tourists and their family. Anyone and everyone can move freely through the hotel, so virtually anyone from the public can come right to your door. The only thing separate you is a key pad on your bedroom door. I understand you’re a business and need to pump the numbers, but hotels aren’t factories where you churn guests out. The hotel is good if the only things u need is a roof over ur head n beach access, otherwise, i wouldn’t recommend.

Right in the beach. Staff are lovely (other than issue below) . Sea view room was exactly that. We only had breakfast so not sure about food but it has many international options , a decent buffet. Nice beach. Main reasons for low score was an issue when reception would not call the police when I needed, just told me to go to bed and wait until tomorrow or find the station in Karon!,!!

The most honest review you’ll read on Beyond Kata I booked Beyond Kata after weeks of research, swayed by its beachside location, high price, and glowing reviews. I thought, why not treat my mom and myself to the “best”? Big mistake. Check-in & First Impressions - Warm welcome, check-in was slow but smooth. - Property is clean but feels dated. - Price does not match expectations, especially for travelers used to Asian standards of premium hospitality. Room Experience - Booked a premier room, requested a small upgrade for a partial sea view (already paid for). Request was denied, even though the hotel was not fully booked. - Beds were comfortable, but overall value was poor. Service - Staff were polite but not proactive. - Simple request for a lighter at the poolside bar was refused with no attempt to help. Beach - The biggest letdown. - Crowded, noisy, and dirty, plastic bags, fishing nets, and rope floating in the water. - Hotel photos of sunbeds are misleading; they belong to local vendors, not the hotel. - We avoided swimming after the first day. Final Verdict - For Asian travelers expecting premium hospitality at premium prices: avoid. - For anyone else, paying extra just to be near a polluted, overcrowded beach is not worth it. ✅ Only redeeming factor: the beds and rooms were lovely.
