The beach is quiet and clean, the pools are amazing (especially the infinity pool overlooking the bay), and the food — from breakfast to dinner — was outstanding. What really stood out, though, was the service. Every single member of staff went above and beyond — from the buggy drivers to the restaurant team — always kind, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. Pimalai isn’t just a resort; it’s a complete escape. Peaceful, elegant, and absolutely worth every minute of the journey to get here. If you’re looking for true Thai hospitality and world-class relaxation — this is it.

I would honestly give it a perfect 10!!!!! Do NOT hesitate. Just gooooo!!! It is perfection! Our only regret is we couldn’t stay longer. THe rooms are spectacular- we had a basic room and it was perfect for the three of us. The shower is fantastic and a/c cold!! Lovely balcony overlooking the hill and sea. The pools are huge and clean The beach is private and amazing They have boogie boards SUP and paddle tennis to borrow The breakfast was out of this world I don’t want to go home!!.

We had an amazing time there for days. For such a big hotel, the service was surprisingly attentive. By the second day, the waitress at breakfast, a lady with short hair and charming smile, already remembered our room No. I was so impressed. I started having wisdom tooth pain from the first day, but during our stay, Miss Ben quickly arranged everything, from the dentist to the emergency clinic, and thanks to her and other stuffs, I was able to return home safely. Thank you so much again. The trip to uninhabited island was also wonderful. I’m truly greatful from the bottoms of my heart.

"Tropical Paradise" The property is exceptionally well maintained, with thoughtful landscaping and an exotic atmosphere. The staff is attentive and friendly with service often exceeding expectations. The room is spacious, clean with beautiful sea as well as garden view. Two swimming pools are peaceful with stunning ocean view. Resort restaurants offer special events daily like Hot Pot dinner, Steak & Wine Night etc. The spa is super nice as well with their exotic atmosphere and skilled therapists. Pimalai Resort and Spa is one of the best places to stay in Thailand. I strongly recommend this tropical paradise to couple, family as well as honeymooner. You won't be disappointed.

There are so many good things to say about Pimalai, I don't even know where to begin. One of my favourite aspects of it was how much mature jungle it's surrounded by, and how many beautiful mature trees there are throughout the grounds. I had so many happy hours bird watching without having to go very far away. Even saw a Colugo! Both the pools are absolutely spectacular and the view from the upper pool is breathtaking. The staff are all incredibly good at their jobs and super friendly. We came in low season and really appreciated having so much space and privacy in our beautiful hillside villa with pool. Even in the height of rainy season the weather wasn't too bad at all with plenty of sunny days. We'll be back!

I had the best experience with my wife our honeymoon that we will never forget in this resort. The place is like heaven in earth and location for the hotel is inside the jungle. No bugs inside the room, it was all very clean . The service was so friendly and kind to us all the trip from hello to good bye. And the food for breakfast was great and tasty so many options. You get free activities there like kayaking and snorkeling. I really recommend it this one if you can afford it .

I recently stayed at Rayavadee and it was truly unforgettable. The experience starts with a boat ride in and out of the resort since it’s only accessible by water, which made it feel extra special. As we were departing, the staff even waved goodbye from the dock, just like in White Lotus, which was such a sweet and memorable touch. The resort itself is stunning. The Grotto restaurant, set inside a cave right on the beach, offered incredible views and a really unique dining experience. All the restaurants served amazing food, and the breakfast spread was top notch. The pool was beautiful and relaxing, and the staff made transportation for excursions super easy. The grounds are lush and filled with wildlife. We even saw monkeys swinging from tree to tree. Everything about the stay felt peaceful, scenic, and well thought out. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

This is our 5th time at Rayavadee resort. We came here before we have kids and now we have 3 and we still put this place as our favorite place on earth💖 this time round our 3rd child forgot her stuff animal at the airport and the bus driver right away tell us that if the airport find the stuff animal he will arrange it to be delivered to our room. The stuff animal was found and it was arranged by Rayavadee staff to safely delivered my daughter stinky dumbo elephant on bus, on boat and handed it to her. Not to mention the beautiful room, service, food , they are all top notch, real white gloved services and we feel like home every time we visit. Thank you for making our vacation a memorable one 💕

Exceptional from start to finish. The service was genuine, friendly and extremely thorough, the accommodation is as they say ‘a home from home’, the food is fantastic (if you get a chance to try the Grotto then you won’t forget it) and the grounds are just like your own little piece of Thai forest with monkeys galore. Rayavadee is unapologetically expensive, especially the Grotto, but it still wins on value for money. If you’re looking for somewhere really special, give it a try

This resort is in a perfect location where guests can enjoy amazing views of the sea, cliffs, and small islands. The landscaping within the resort is also very well maintained, allowing guests to appreciate the tropical forest and local wildlife. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming. HOWEVER, I cannot say that the room condition meets 5-star hotel standards. I completely understand that being surrounded by forest means you might see some ants or small lizards inside. But finding dozens of bugs inside the wardrobe and on my clothes was truly shocking. I'm worried these bugs might have hitched a ride back to my home even though the hotel staff offered to do the laundry. After seeing them crawling on my clothes, I completely lost my appetite and couldn't sleep. The hotel did arrange for cleaning and laundry service, but they did not offer to change the room. I understand you should expect some insects when traveling in Southeast Asia, but not at this level in a 5-star hotel room. I'm not paying two or three times the usual price to sleep with bugs.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We have traveled extensively and stayed in many wonderful 5-star hotels around the world, but this time we wanted something truly peaceful an adults-only retreat where we could rest, recharge, and feel connected to nature. This hotel has been the perfect choice. It’s an oasis of tranquility, beautifully designed and surrounded by calm. The à la carte breakfast, served from 6 AM to 6 PM, is simply fantastic such a thoughtful and unique concept. While we didn’t particularly enjoy the international restaurant (the dishes were quite bland for our taste), the Thai restaurant by the bar is extraordinary. Every meal is bursting with authentic flavor and made with so much care. Thai cuisine is truly special rich, balanced, and full of soul. What makes this place unforgettable, though, are the people. Every single staff member is kind, respectful, and genuinely warm. Their gentle way of serving, the constant attention, the smiles, and even the small details like bringing cold water to us at the pool or the beach make us feel deeply cared for. Thailand has something magical: its people, its food, and its spirit. We are spending our last night tomorrow, already feeling grateful for such a peaceful and beautiful experience. Highly recommended to anyone seeking elegance, serenity, and authentic Thai hospitality.

This hotel deserves all the praise it gets in the reviews I’ve seen before. Myself and my wife Kristy have been traveling around Thailand staying at various luxury hotels and this is certainly one of the best. The owners are British I believe and they have perfectly blended western style service, efficiency and design with Thailands incredible natural beauty and friendly , gentle staff. It’s perfect for couples or small families who just want to relax. Spa is excellent and great therapists. Anytime breakfast is a brilliant original simple idea so no scrambling to get out of bed! We loved it so much we booked to return in 4 days time. Highly recommended

Really amazing hotel, we came here to celebrate my 50th birthday and I am so glad we did. Service was exceptional as was the food quality, fantastic beech front location that allowed us to wander up and down local restaurants and bars. We did a couple of the hotel trips that we loved, the best was a local snorkel trip that included food and drink on the boat.

We stayed here for a few days/nights as part of our honeymoon, and could not have been happier with our stay. The Sarojin is a stunning property, with beautiful gardens, ponds, vegetation, and wildlife throughout. The atmosphere is serene, peaceful, relaxing, and nature-filled. The pool is beautiful, as is the waterfront. The Sarojin’s staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any guest needs. Food and drinks were delicious, with great options for the free breakfast and strong, very good coffee. I highly recommend getting a room with a private pool, as we really enjoyed lounging by ours without having to share with other guests. We took a dip many times each day to cool off! Finally, the Sarojin’s spa, Pathways, gave us the most relaxing, fantastic treatments. We got the faa fairt massage (two therapists at once, HIGHLY recommend!) as well as a facial, and a back/neck/shoulders massage. All were amazing! The best was hearing the birds sing and the stream gurgle as the massage is semi-outdoors. So relaxing! We wish we’d stayed at the Sarojin longer, and we can’t wait to come stay there again! Pro tip: take advantage of the free bikes they let you rent out to explore the area a bit! Take a bike ride to the Sai Rung waterfall (about a 10 km ride round trip I think?) It is beautiful, serene, and so refreshing to swim in on a hot day. Also bike to Salt Surf cafe and look across at the lovely beach as you sip something delicious. We also highly recommend grabbing lunch at the nearby Rimrabeang Cafe - it’s affordable and so tasty! We loved their smoothies, tom yum, pad thai, and panang curry!

This wasn't just a holiday, it was an experience! fine dining in a luxurious environment with amazing service! The location speaks for itself, remote but within easy reach of local attractions, not that you need to wonder too far. In a world of corporate hospitality this experience was like a get together with friends, where every encounter felt casual and familiar, but in the best way possible. Our pool residence was absolutely spectacular, a rare example of reality being better than a photo, unlike some hotels where their towering architecture dominates the skyline, the rooms here are almost completely hidden behind the natural green jungle landscape that allows this peaceful existence to thrive. Thank you to all the staff for making our time there so special, your attention to detail was amazing and really embodied the culture of a high end resort, we will never forget the level of service we received 🙏

Our stay at Melati Beach Resort & Spa in Koh Samui was absolutely wonderful! 🌴 The resort is beautiful — everything was perfect, from the facilities to the atmosphere. Looking for seclusion, total relaxation, beautiful food and amazing service? Stay at the Melati! Had a girls holiday for just over a week and the pictures and reviews do not do this place justice. Rooms: We stayed in a king room, massive comfy bed! The room is very spacious and clean. The staff really do look after you here. We loved the special desserts that were for different days of the week, we looked forward to this every night, such a lovely touch! Restaraunt/food: Buffet breakfast every morning was such good food! The service was consistently amazing and very quick with coffee and additional food orders. The space was always very clean, the staff here do a wonderful job and had kept our favourite seats for us. Special thank you to Padthai, Fon, Ton, Kevin and Jiji you truly made our stay extra special! Pool: Theres two pools, there is the main pool with a pool bar, definitely a favourite! Plenty of lounge space and a beautiful view of the private beach. We were gobsmacked by the view its truly beautiful. There is also a second adults only pool in the garden, this is so beautiful and relaxing and they have phones by the pool so you’re not missing out on getting drinks delivered to you. The pool/bar staff were so amazing! They were on top of everything always! And no request was too big. A very special shout out to Tony, Yeen and Sunny, you guys were a definite highlight and never let our glasses be empty or without a fresh towel and gave us a few laughs! Thank you so so much for everything. Spa: Of course we had to get some spa treatments! I had a thai massage and on another day a 3.5 hour spa treatment. Highly recommend getting these! Great price and a beautiful experience. The thai massage was the best massage I have ever had. I am already looking to come back again! We only left the resort for some activities we had booked but otherwise we were more than happy to relax here all the time! Its only about 15-20min drive to fishermans markets, its a little secluded but not too far so if you’re happy to just relax and shut off from the busyness of life highly recommend coming here!

This was a 2 night stay at end of a wonderful trip. We Wanted to stay somewhere different in KS. The hotel does have a beautiful pool and lovely grounds but it is far away from anywhere..you cannot walk to other eateries or Choeng Mon village. You have to take taxis. Choeng Mon beach is gorgeous and we had a lovely meal there but had to taxi-ditto Fisherman’s village. Melati puts 10% on all its food and drinks therefore a v simple lunch was the cost of a meal on Koh Pha-Ngan! No happy hour. The staff were nice and can’t fault the breakfast offerings which were generous and plentiful. The room was ok-terrible pillows-but not sound proofed and the bathroom was oversized and very hot. We got a deal through Agoda and it was nice to laze by the pool and swim at their little beach but I would not return. Far better value elsewhere.

We have just celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary and both of our Birthdays in this absolutely beautiful resort. The staff are the most beautiful people I have ever met 💞 they made our 14 days absolutely magical. The villas are perfect and fully serviced every day and the food was amazing, do yourself a favour and GO!
